Applications should be submitted in triplicates on public service form No.3 (revised 2008) to the
secretary to the respective District Service Commissions to be received not later than 15th May
2015.
The application forms are obtainable from the public service commission offices 2nd floor
Farmers house, Parliamentary avenue, Kampala, Health Service Commission offices 3rd floor
Workers house, or Ministry Of Health headquarters Lourdel Rd Kampala and the 112 District
Service Commission office.
The forms can also be downloaded from the websites of the above mentioned commissions and
Ministry of Health website.
Hand written applications in triplicates are also accepted. Applications should bear a title and
number of the post applied for, name of district where the job is tenable. Please indicate your
telephone contact on your application.
Health professionals who are already in government service at the same level as the job advertised
are not encouraged to apply. Health professionals appointed to the service within the last one year
are not encouraged to apply. Health professionals aged between sixty(60) and sixty five (65) years
of age and possess the specified requirements may apply for the following posts; Anaesthetic
officers, Anaesthetic Assistant, Theatre Assistant and dispenser .
Health professionals who were seconded to District Local Governments by the Ministry of Health
and those supported by the Global Fund under TASO and have not yet been absorbed on
permanent terms are encouraged to apply to districts that have advertised the posts and will be
given 1st priority.
Applicants should attach to each of the three (3) applications forms three (3) sets of certified
photocopies of their academic certificates, testimonials, professional registration certificates, valid
practicing licenses and three (3) recent passport size photographs.

Must be trained at registered level or its equivalent from a recognized
institution.
• Receiving patients, registering admissions, discharges and
death.
• Providing Nursing care services to patients.
• Keeping patients comfortable and ensuring a health
environment.
• Preparing and carrying out sterile procedures;
• Participating in bed side procedures as a member of the caring
team;
• Participating in Doctors/Clinical Officers’ ward rounds;
• Preparing patients for meals and participating serving them.
• Managing and accounting for allocated resources;
• Adhering to professional code of conduct.
• Compiling and submitting periodic reports on field visits
