The Eden Children‟s Centre
This is a parenting group on a Monday for parents to attend four weeks during
pregnancy & four weeks post birth.
The group helps parents to build a secure attachment with their baby & ‘Hold the
baby more in mind’. The group will help you find out more about how babies learn &
thrive; how to bond with your baby and to help you build your confidence as a parent.

tantrums and what can be learnt from them, and how to manage difficult behaviour.

SESSION DESCRIPTIONS
Baby Club
This enables parents/carers to bring their baby to be weighed and measured as
well as speak to the health visitor about their new baby. Open to all.
Baby Massage
This is a 5 week course delivered once each week by a qualified practitioner.
Places must be booked.
Baby Time
Aimed at babies from 0 to 12 months. Features a range of activities including
Sensory Play, Sing & Sign & Baby Yoga. Open to all.
Baby Yoga
A class tailored to give new mums and babies a yoga workout. Ideal for babies
from 10 weeks old until baby is crawling. Open to all.
Bosom Buddies
Support session for mums who are breastfeeding and mums to be who are
thinking of breastfeeding. Other mums are on hand who have been trained as
peer supporters who’ll provide help, information and encouragement. Open to all.

Singing & Signing for babies using makaton and music to promote language and
communication skills. Open to babies 0-12 months
Baby & Toddler Time Fun For All - Children with additional needs
These fun sessions provide play indoors and outdoors, sensory play,
individual advice and support for all the family. There are two sessions available,
Wednesday 11.15am - 12.15pm at The Pride for babies under 2 years old and
Thursday 1.30pm - 2.30pm at The Star for children over 2 years old. We also
have a sensory room at The Pride & The Star Children’s Centres. Open to all.
Jo Jingles
These classes combine music, singing and movement and are educational,
creative and fun! Jo Jingles is a very popular session and the minimum age for
this session is 1 years old. Places must be booked.
Little Adventurers/Stay & Play
These fun sessions offer children of all ages the opportunity to play in a safe and
secure environment, whilst also enabling other parents/carers with children of a
similar age to meet together for support & friendship & enjoy a range of activities.
Open to all.
Mini Movers
This is a lively, fun music and movement session that meets the developmental
needs of children from 18 months old to 5 years. Sessions help develop physical
skills such as coordination, balance and introduce concepts such as high/low,
under/over, up/down as well as developing communication skills. Open to all.
Save a Baby‟s Life
On this course you will learn what can cause a baby to stop breathing or lose
consciousness, how to check a babies breathing, what to do if a baby isn't
breathing normally (CPR), what to do if a baby is choking and what to do if a
baby is drowning. Places must be booked.
Sensory Baby
Features a range of activities including Sensory Play, Sing & Sign, Baby Yoga.
Open to all 0-6 months
Sensory Explorers
Perfect for babies who are crawling and toddling. Features a range of activities
including Sensory Play, sing and sign and yoga and movement.
Open to all 7-18 months
Sleep Routines Advice
Need advice on sleep routines? Is sleep or lack of sleep becoming difficult for
your child? Contact a member of our team to discuss this further. Open to all.
Sparkle Beauty Course
On this course you will learn, nail art application & basic manicure, how to style
hair, how to apply eyelashes, skincare treatment for all skin types, how to shape
tint & wax eyebrows & how to apply day/evening make up & create smokey eyes.
Places must be booked.
Toddler Sing & Sign
