If you would like for your child to attend summer school, please complete the registration form and return it as soon as possible. Students residing in Lieder, McFee, Metcalf, Sheridan, and Wilson attendance zone will attend summer school at McFee Elementary for Bilingual/ESL Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten, NAC (session 2), Camp Summit (K-2), and Grade 3 Writing Camp. Students residing in Andre’, Duryea, Emery, Hemmenway, Jowell, Lieder, McFeee, Metcalf, M. Robinson, Sheridan, Walker and Wilson attendance zone will attend summer school at Andre’ for SSI (5th grade), NAC (session 1), Tuition (K-5) and Grade 4 Math Camp. No applications will be accepted after May 8th. They will take a guided tour observing the Paleontology Hall to gain knowledge and understanding of different prehistoric and their habitats and niches and how they relate to food chains and webs. Students will also enjoy a nice lunch at Hermann Park while observing the plant life around them and take notice and discuss the differences in growth, inherited traits, and adaptations of the various plants. Students will need to bring a sack lunch. Students will travel by school bus which will depart Lieder about 9:05 a.m. and return around 2:00 p.m. Please call the school for additional information about school events: 281-463-5928 Lieder Elementary is a Title I school. All fines for lost and damage books are due. Please pay before the last day of school. End of the year report cards will not be given to students owing fines and school records will not be cleared for students not returning to Lieder next year. Lieder’s Lovin’ It THIRD GRADE PERFORMANC Third grade students will be performing the play "A Day in the Country” on Monday, May 18 th at 6:00 pm. Come and hear our talented students sing and act their way to stardom! CHICK-FIL-A NIGHT Come out and enjoy a delicious chicken meal with family and friends at Chick-fil-A, Tuesday, May 26th from 5-8pm. Thanks to Chick-fil-A, a portion of sales will be donated to Lieder Elementary. Hope to see our Lieder Leopards there! TALENT SHOW We are thrilled to announce Lieder’s 3rd Annual Talent Show! We are looking for dedicated, hard-working, and creative individuals and groups to participate. Past acts include dancers, magicians, singers, comedians, and group performances. Come and see our Lieder students show their talent on Wednesday, May 27 th 5:30-7:00pm. Please look for more information on important dates, how to participate, and audition guidelines in your child’s Friday folder. ANNUAL SKATE PARTY Our annual Skate Party is just around the corner! Come join the fun Thursday, May 28th from 4:00-6:00 pm at Bear Creek Roller Rink on Hwy 6. Admission is $4.00 for two hours of fun skating with your friends. Our amazing staff members are making fun filled baskets to raffle at the Skate Party. Raffle tickets are .25 cents each. In order to avoid the long lines at the roller rink Student Council will begin selling admission tickets and raffle tickets Monday, May 18th from 8:30-8:45 am. See you there! 5th GRADE AWARDS CELEBRATION Hats off to the graduates!
