SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM
Second & Fourth Sunday of the month at 1:15 PM. Parents
are asked to come to the Baptismal Instruction the second
Tuesday of each month at 7:00 PM in the Parish Conference
Center located behind the church. Please call the Parish Center to register for the Baptismal Instruction.
We, the Parish family of Nativity of Our Lord, proclaim that by our Baptism we have received the message of
Christmas the great love God has for all people and proclaim that love to all we meet, and so to make present
the Kingdom of God on earth by service to others and by working for justice and peace.
Dear Parishioners,
As we enter the fifth week of Lent I encourage
everyone to take time in these remaining weeks
to renew your spirit. Easter is a celebration of
Resurrection and new life. The way we can experience this new life most authentically is by
renewing our inward self, our spirit, our soul.
Be sure to take time for personal prayer
and reflection. Look at yourself through the eyes
of God. Place yourselves into the arms of His
unconditional love and mercy. Know that you
individually have been created, redeemed and
loved by God.
The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross was
God pouring Himself out in love for each and all
of us, for you and me. Be sure to recognize and
appreciate this act of love on your behalf.
Easter is a celebration of God’s love. I
pray that we all realize this love personally so
that on Easter with sincere hearts we sing and
pray Alleluia!
God bless us all!

Catechism of the Catholic Church
275. What are the names for this sacrament?
The unfathomable richness of this sacrament is expressed
in different names which evoke its various aspects. The
most common names are: the Eucharist, Holy Mass, the
Lord’s Supper, the Breaking of the Bread, the Eucharistic
Celebration, the Memorial of the passion, death and Resurrection of the Lord, the Holy Sacrifice, the Holy and Divine Liturgy, the Sacred Mysteries, the Most Holy Sacrament of the Altar, and Holy Communion.
The Practice of Covering
Crucifixes and Images of Saints
Veiling Crucifixes and images of Saints in Churches
towards the end of Lent is an ancient custom in Catholic Churches. As we approach Palm Sunday, which
marks the beginning of the holiest of weeks in the
Church’s year, the Church turn her attention, in a most
singular way, to the great events of the Sacred Triduum.
Holy Week is imminent; and as we, the Body of Christ
immerse ourselves into the Sacred Mysteries of these
days, all of our focus, all of our attention, should turn
toward the single, salvific act of the Passion Death and
Resurrection of our Savior!

WHAT’S HAPPENING AT NATIVITY
Precious Friends of St.
Gianna Childcare Center
Program description
Precious Friends of St. Gianna Childcare Center
is a collaborative effort by Nativity of Our Lord Parish
and Archbishop Wood High School that will open its
doors in September, 2015. The Catholic School environment provided by both Nativity of Our Lord School, a
2011 Blue Ribbon School of Excellence serving Pre-K 3
to 8th grades and Archbishop Wood High School, one of
the outstanding high schools of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, is a perfect fit for this Child Care Center.
Parents who value Catholic traditions and values
for their children can now have the option of entrusting
their children’s care and their subsequent education from
6 weeks to 12th grade all on the same campus. The care
of these children, precious to their parents, will be given
by qualified child care specialists who are also role models of the Catholic faith.
Precious Friends of St. Gianna Childcare Center
is situated on the rear of the Archbishop Wood HS property adjacent to the Nativity of Our Lord Parish property.
It will provide easily accessible child care for members of
the Nativity parish, the faculty and staff of both schools,
as well as other members of the Warminster community.
The facility itself, originally a convent residence, will be
renovated to contain adequate space for infants from 6
weeks to toddlers. Precious Friends will be fully licensed
by the state and under the direction of a qualified and
certified Childcare Director.
The Nativity of Our Lord and Archbishop Wood
communities are excited to begin this new venture and
hope that it will serve members of both communities for
a long time into the future.
To place your name on a list to obtain more detailed information as it becomes available, please send
your name, address, phone, email, and ages of children

World Meeting of Families Study Group
Revised schedule
Tuesdays at 7:30 p.m. Parish Conference Center
April 7, Chapters 8 & 9
April 21 Chapter 10
Summary of Chapter 4: Two Become One Our first three chapters reviewed basic Christian faith. We saw how confidence in
Jesus opens the door to faith, enabling us to know God and what God has done in history. God creates male and female in his
image, and makes a covenant with Israel and the Church. God is faithful to his promises, even when we sin. Because God loved
us in this way, we spend our lives trying to return our love to God and share it with our neighbor. In this month’s chapter and in
the chapters to come, we will study the implications of these doctrines for marriage and the family. When husband and wife
promise to love each other as God loves us all, they make a commitment to love not only romantically, but also with mercy and
forgiveness. Our culture sometimes teaches us to think of marriage as a negotiable contract between two individuals who happen
to feel sexual chemistry. This view of love is a recipe for instability, since it is still premised on individualism and the waxing
and waning of romantic feelings. The Church’s alternative account of love enables us to transcend the culture of individualism
and become who we were created to be. Founded on Christ, sustained in the sacraments, Catholic marriage builds humility and
self-sacrifice into the dynamic between male and female. As this month’s chapter explains in more detail, sacramental marriage
creates intimate communion even in times of suffering and hardship. “Love is our mission,” as our catechism’s title declares,
because Christ’s love frees us from false, shrunken accounts of love and makes us fully alive. - Christopher C. Roberts, catechism editor.
