Over 850 families par cipated. Many sugges ons were made and we are trying to address many of those sugges ons. Among those sugges ons are the following: Liturgical Ministries Mr. Joseph Coffman has been hired part me by the parish to help us work with and organized our various liturgical ministries. We are also trying to contact those who wish to become liturgical ministers. Some forma on has taken place and more will be offered. Parish Registration Drive We will be having the first of a serious of St. Jane Frances Registra on Drives the weekend of the 25/ 26 of October a er all Masses. All parishioners (new and old) are encourage to register in the parish. Many new members of our parish have never registered and it has been many years since some of the older member of the parish have updated their data. Sunday 5:00 pm Bilingual Mass In answering the parish survey, many have indicated the desire to have a 5:00pm Sunday evening bi-lingual Mass. Also, many have pointed out the need to reach out to the youth of the parish. As a result, we will be inaugura ng a 5:00pm Bilingual Youth Mass the fourth Sunday of each month. All are welcome. The youth of the parish are being prepared to take on all of the various liturgical ministries for the Mass. Following is a schedule for upcoming months. October 26, November 23, December 28, January 25, February 22, March 22, April 26, May 24 and June 28. Feast of Christ the King Multi-Cultural Food Fair Sunday, November 23 : 8:00am—4:00pm Many indicated on the survey that they would like to see more events that would unify the parish. We are planning a mul cultural Food Fair for Sunday, November 23rd. It is the Feast of Christ the King which calls us to work to establish the Kingdom of God, a kingdom that is welcoming to all peoples. It is also intended as a Parish Fund Raiser. The Archdiocese of Los Angeles is asking parishes to become involved with helping immigrants obtain Driver’s Licenses. We are presently forming a team to be trained to help immigrants prepare for the process and the driver’s test. A representa ve from the Archdiocese will come to the parish to train the team. We are also becoming involved in CLUE LA ( Clergy and Laity United for Economic Jus ce). This organiza on educates, organizes and mobilizes the faith community to walk with workers and their families in their struggle for respect and dignity in the workplace and beyond. All religions are welcome. Evangelization Mrs. Norma Jean Jackson is working with the parish as Director of Evangeliza on and Faith Forma on. A team has been formed and has par cipated in forma on offered by the Archdiocese. They are planning ways of reaching out and sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others. The Alpha program is being offered in both English and Spanish. We will also offer again the Catholicism program in both languages, a er Christmas. Par ciparon más de 850 familias. Muchas sugerencias se hicieron y nosotros estamos tratando de hacer frente a muchas de estas sugerencias. Entre estas sugerencias son las siguientes: Ministerios litúrgicos El Sr. Joseph Coffman ha sido contratado medio empo por la parroquia, para ayudarnos a organizar nuestros diferentes ministerios litúrgicos. También estamos tratando de ponernos en contacto con aquellos que desean ser ministros litúrgicos. Hemos tenido un día de formación y se ofrecerá mas. Inscripción Parroquial Vamos a tener el primero de una serie de eventos de Registración el fin de semana del 25/26 del octubre después de cada misa. Todos los feligreses (nuevos y antiguos) se invitan a registrarse en la parroquia. Muchos nuevos miembros de nuestra parroquia nunca se han registrado y ha pasado muchos años desde que algunos de los miembros más antiguos de la parroquia no han actualizado sus datos . Misa Bilingüe Domingos al las 5:00 pm Al responder a la encuesta parroquial, muchos han indicado el deseo de tener una Misa bilingüe al las 5:00 pm los domingo. Además muchos han señalado la necesidad de establecer contacto a los jóvenes de la parroquia. Como resultado, estaremos inaugurando a las 5:00pm la misa Bilingüe para la juventud el cuarto domingo de cada mes. Todos son bienvenidos. Los jóvenes de la parroquia están siendo preparados para asumir todos los diferentes ministerios litúrgicos para la misa. El programa Alpha se ofrece en Inglés y Español. También vamos a ofrecer otra vez el programa de Catolicismo en ingles y español después de Navidad. Un caminata evangelización se llevó a cabo hace unos meses y la planificación está en marcha para otro caminata. “Jovenes En La Gracia Del Padre” Les invita a todos a una tarde de alabanza el sabado 25 de Octubre del 2014. De 5pm - 11 pm en el gimnasio de la parroquia. Con el tema “Somos La Luz Del Mundo”. Tendremos un show especial para todos los niños. Los esperamos. Estamos planeando una kermes multi-cultural para el domingo 23 de noviembre. Es la fiesta de Cristo Rey, que nos llama a trabajar para establecer el Reino de Dios, un reino que da la bienvenida a todos los pueblos. También se piensa como a recaudar fondos para la parroquia.
