If your child will be receiving a flu shot or mist, please check their temperature that morning. If you child is running temperature of 100.0 or higher, please notify the school. A flu shot will not be administered to your child. Also, if your child received the shot already, make sure you call to let us know. Parent-Teacher conferences: Thank you to the parents who attended parent-teacher conferences either Monday or Tuesday evening. Book Fair: Thanks to the families who supported the Book Fair by buying books for their families and for the teacher wish list, enabling us to add books to our library. Remember, the on-line fair is available until October 22. Halloween Candy: If you’re interested in donating candy, fruit snacks, small prizes like pencils or stickers, please bring them to the school office by Monday, October 27. Thank you. Marathon: Congrats: We reached our goal of over $15,000 so Fr. Tony will be dressing up as a clown and riding a go cart. Bake Sale: St. Anne’s School will be selling baked goods at the Wabasso Public Library’s annual craft fair on Sunday, Nov. 2 from 10:30 – 2:00. We are in need of both baked goods and individuals to sell the goods. Baked goods can be dropped off in the Church basement on Saturday, Nov. 1 or directly to the Wabasso Community Center on Sunday morning. Please contact the school office by phone or email if you are able to help with setting up and selling. Late Start: The Wabasso Public School is considering offering “Care Corner” for students in the morning on the monthly late start days beginning Nov. 19. The cost would be $3 payable at the time of drop-off. Students must arrive at the public school at 8:00 am and will be escorted to St. Anne’s at 9:00 pm. It involves saving plastic caps, which are then sold and wheelchairs are purchased and given to children. We will be saving caps through Advent with them being shipped on December 19. Caps of Love – read more about the project at www.capsoflove.com By simply collecting plastic caps from bottles and other containers, we can help provide wheelchairs to children who need them. The caps are recycled and sold, and 100% of the profit is used to purchase wheelchairs for children. What to Save: - Any plastic cap from pop, shampoo, toothpaste, spray paint, sour cream containers, hairspray, medicine bottles, etc. How to Save: - Make sure it is clean, Remove any paper or foil lining. - Keep white lids separate from colored lids. - Don’t want any cap that has metal or paper or beverage lids from food restaurants. When to Save: - Now through Advent, Caps will be shipped on December 19. Where to Save: - Bring clean caps to your classroom. Ways you can support St. Anne’s School! Last year we earned $1235.00 Salfer's Food Receipts - From September 1 to March 31, you can drop your Salfer's receipts in the container at church or at the St. Anne's School Office. Owner, Jim Salfer, donates a percentage of sales to St. Anne’s School. Last year we earned $1032.50 Scrip Gift Cards – Purchase gift cards for face value from hundreds of retailers and 2%-20% of the purchase is donated to St. Anne’s School.
