How about the run to Coopernook pub with a few enjoying the services and food and luckily they had a guy singing for a football do, wasn't he great to sit and listen to very enjoyable night with all enjoying themselves. Thanks again for your assistance at Masters wasn't very profitable but still a good day. Nice to see Tony's HX all painted up and looking pretty at the weekend of the Taree Show as with all the other cars that turned up all in all a pretty good turnout nice to sit around and catch up. What about the parade with the EH's taking the showgirls around the parade ground looked great from behind with the police car leading the way. th Our monthly club run is Sunday the 19 we where going to the Cruiz-In in Newy but because of the lack of interest in attending, and I do understand why, as most of us are to busy to go for a week end and have other things we must do, also some have to work. So we have ran it past a couple of you to still have our monthly club run and you have agreed to have a nice drive down to the Tea Gardens as this is our normal club run day, I don't think we should cancel it totally, our cars need to be pulled out and have a good run, especially those who have club plates. We will have morning tea with cakes from Andy's at a half way stop, and also a raffle then onto Tea gardens for lunch. On the journey home we will take the old highway up through Wootton to give the old girls a decent cruise and get rid of some cobwebs. The 26th of October Barry and Alan have organised a run with HOH with a meet up at Croki for morning tea and a chat and then on to Pacific Palms this should be an interesting day. Remember if your on Club Plates keep a copy of this newsletter in the glove box just to show the police or rms that you are on a Club Sanctioned activity. Remember that the club has to be notified on your Movements whilst on Historic Plates. More information about your club rego at Thursday nights meeting. Remember to enjoy yourselves and take care Garry NEXT MEETING AT THE RSL IS SEPTEMBER THURSDAY 16th 7.30pm SECRETARY'S OPINION: Hi Everyone, Thank you to those who helped at the Masters BBQ, it was a nice day, I must say I did have fun running around the store on one of their gofers, thank you Amber. They need a bit of an overhaul from Baz to give them a bit more grunt, great day thank you again. It was good to see Richard Davis out in his old girl, she's looking good, we don't see her out very often. Photo on front page. It's sad we don't see a lot of Steve & Fe due to his work roster they don't get to come on many runs, plus the fact he's working in Musellbrook that makes it hard. But we will catch up with them soon. I hope you all enjoyed Riccardo's Tomato's, very interesting place the scones where to die for. The cruise up there was pretty good to picking a few members on the way up the highway and wasn't it a beautiful day the weather was perfect. Nigel & Noelien brought along their friends from Queensland in their very nice Torana. Then we went for a lovely drive. st Our Saturday Twilight runs are on the 1 Saturday evening of each month now so if any body has any thoughts on where to go and what you would like to do let us know. Saturday twilight run to Coopernook Pub was a good night out great company good food and live music as well with a few drinks you couldn't want any more. Tony Galea come up with a great idea which I think you all might like,so we will bring that up at our next meeting for our twilight cruises. th Our next club run is this coming Sunday the 19 to the Tea Gardens as Garry has stated in his Pres. report it should be fun I like the idea of the home run up the old Hwy( just love those bends ) he said some thing about driving over a singing bridge, sounds interesting. Morning tea is a gold coin donation And now our sicko's list, everyone seems to be falling apart. th For those who know Rob & Norma Balaam, Norma fell and broke her hip on Saturday the 27 of October she has had surgery on the Sunday and is in the base hospital for over a week. Now she is in Wingham Rehab for a little bit of therapy, if you can pay her a visit she would love to see some friendly faces. Jo Galea has just had carpal tunnel surgery and is in a lot of pain and discomfort with that. Beryl is in the Mayo having today surgery, Gary rang just as I was doing the news letter last minute touch up's to say she has come through the surgery fine and all is good. She's about to turn 60 next month. Poor old girl, so welcome to our world when every thing starts to fall apart, knees, hips, teeth & may be a hearing aid or two, the eye sight stars to fade, what about when you think you have stepped on some thing and when you look it's one of your boobies, (not that, that has happen to me yet), but you never know with that gravity thing happening as you get older. Well what more could you want in your senior years. So you hang in there sunshine , see you soon when you are on the mend. I hope the rest of you are all keeping well. That's it from me for now, talk to you all soon. Let the pistons do the torquing. If my body were a car, this is the time I would be thinking about trading it in for a newer model. I've got bumps and dents and scratches in my finish and my paint job is getting a little dull... But that's not the worst of it. My headlights are out of focus, And it's especially hard to see things up close. My traction is not as graceful as it once was. I slip and slide and skid and bump into things even in the best of weather. My whitewalls are stained with varicose veins. It takes me hours to reach my maximum speed. My fuel rate burns inefficiently. But here's the worst of it. Almost every time I sneeze, cough or sputter, Either My Radiator Leaks or My Exhaust Backfires! Mary raised her hand and said she had seen a movie about women having babies. “Great,” said the teacher, “that's very important.” Then Judy raised her hand and told the teacher she had seen a TV show about people getting married. “Well, that has to do with it too,” said the teacher. Then Johnny raised his hand and said he had seen a western where some Indians came riding over the hill and John Wayne shot them all. The teacher said, “Well, Johnny, that really doesn't have anything to do with sex education.” “Yes it does,” said Johnny, ” it taught those Indians not to f**k with John Wayne.” A Lesson in Government ;A teacher was teaching her second grade class about the government, so for homework that one day, she told her her students to ask their parents what the government is. When Little Johnny got home that day, he went up to his dad and ask his what the government was. His dad thought for a while and answered, ''Look at it this way: I'm the president, your mom is Congress, your maid is the work force, you are the people and your baby brother is the future.'''I still don't get it'' responded the Little Johnny. ''Why don't you sleep on it then? Maybe you'll understand it better,'' said the dad. ''Okay then...good night'' said Little Jonny went off to bed. In the middle of the night, Little Johnny was awakened by his baby brother's crying. He went to his baby brother's crib and found that his baby brother had taken a crap in his diaper. So Little Johnny went to his parent's room to get help. When he got to his parent's bedroom, he looked through the keyhole to check if his parents were asleep. Through the keyhole he saw his mom loudly snoring, but his dad wasn't there. So he went to the maid's room. When he looked through the maid's room keyhole, he saw his dad having sex with his maid. Little Johnny was surprised, but then he just realized something and thinks aloud, ''OH!! Now I understand the government! The President is screwing the work force, Congress is fast asleep, nobody cares about the people, and the future is full of s**t!'' The Crabby Cabbie: A successful businessman flew to Vegas for the weekend to gamble. He lost the shirt off his back, and had nothing left but a quarter and the second half of his round trip ticket. All he needed to do was somehow get to the airport, and then he'd be home-free. So he went out to the front of the casino where there was a cab waiting. He got in and explained his situation to the cabbie. He promised to send the driver money from home. He offered him his credit card numbers, his drivers license number, his address, etc... The cabbie said, ''If you don't have fifteen dollars, get the hell out of my cab!'' So the businessman was forced to hitchhike to the airport and was barely in time to catch his flight. One year later the businessman, having worked long and hard to regain his financial success, returned to Vegas and this time he won big. Feeling pretty good about himself, he went out to the front of the casino to get a cab ride back to the airport. Well who should he see out there, at the end of a long line of cabs, but his old buddy who had refused to give him a ride when he was down on his luck. The businessman thought for a moment about how he could make the guy pay for his lack of charity, and he hit on a plan. The businessman got in the first cab in the line, ''How much for a ride to the airport,'' he asked? ''Fifteen bucks,'' came the reply. ''And how much for you to give me a blowjob on the way?'' ''What?! Get the hell out of my cab.'' The businessman got into the back of each cab in the long line and asked the same questions, with the same result. When he got to his old friend at the back of the line, he got in and asked, ''How much for a ride to the airport?'' The cabbie replied, ''Fifteen bucks.'' The businessman said, ''OK,'' and off they went. Then, as they drove slowly past the long line of cabs, the businessman gave a big smile and thumbs up sign to each of the other drivers. Little Johnny... Salesman: A salesman rings the door bell and Little Johnny answers. Salesman: "Can I see your dad?" Johnny: "No, he's in the shower." Salesman: "What about your mother? Can I see her?" Johnny: "Nope. She's in the shower, too." Salesman: "Do you think they'll be out soon?" Johnny: "Doubt it. When my dad asked me for the Vaseline, I gave him super glue instead."
