Dear Parishioners:
This is the time of year when we have to
compile various statistics for the
archdiocese as well as update our mailing
list and records. In doing so this year I
was pleased to see that we have
registered over 100 new families in the
last 12 months. That is great to see and I
am sure it is due in large part to you
encouraging your new neighbors and
friends to come to OLPH. Keep up the
good work! All are welcome!

Father Ed Dowling is a Jesuit priest who
is a Professor of Economics at Fordham
and an author of a series of books on
Sacred Scripture. He assists us here on
weekends as well as a parish on Long
Island and resides on the campus at
Fordham.
Father Stan O'Konsky is a Jesuit priest
who teaches English at Fordham Prep and
during his long career there he has had
many OLPH students. He resides on
campus at Fordham and helps us as his
schedule allows.
One of things I found in meeting some of
these new families is that they are not
quite sure about who the different priests
on staff are and where they are from, so I
thought I might take this time to offer an
explanation.
Father Michael Greco is a Capuchin
Franciscan priest who is in charge of the
formation of men seeking to enter their
religious community. He lives with them
in a Friary in Brooklyn and assists us with
the Family Mass and whenever his
schedule allows. He is a native son of the
parish so he is known to many already.
I am in my eleventh year as Pastor of
OLPH and as of last January, I became the
Administrator of St. Catharine's Church
in Pelham. I live in the Rectory which is
the house diagonally across the parking
lot from the church doors.
I am immensely proud to have these men
as colleagues and I believe each one
brings great gifts to the parish through
their life experience and preaching. I
hope that helps to offer some
clarification.
Father Abraham is from India and he has
been here for twelve years. During that
time, in addition to helping in the parish,
he has been working to complete first his
Masters and now his Doctorate in
Philosophy and he is now in the final
stages of that work. He lives in the
Rectory here.
Sincerely,
Father Ferdinand is from Nigeria and he
has been with us for a year. In addition to
parish work, he is currently studying at
Iona College and working towards a
Masters in Psychology. He also lives in
the Rectory.

followed by refreshments in the
cafeteria.
On Friday, Nov. 7th at 5:00 PM in the
Chapel we will have a Holy Hour with
Eucharistic adoration and Benediction.

experience the power of His presence.
