“Free choice”
Viennese pastry
On a world
music theme
Candidates must produce a loaf of bread meeting nutritional
requirements in line with the nutritional context of their
Own country.
From a selection of world's most popular breads, each candidate
will find out which s/he will be allocated on the day of
the contest.
An exercise in style where IMPROVISATION and CREATIVITY
are the name of the game.
Architectural complexity and interpretation of the theme
constitute a significant challenge in themselves.
The focus is undoubtedly on innovation, demanding an
innovative technique and dough making.
Selection of candidates
Candidates are selected either on the basis of the best scores obtained individually in
the two previous contests or as “Wild Card” candidates.
A total of 24 candidates will compete, divided into three categories: bread, Viennese
pastry and artistic piece. There are 8 candidates in each category.
