Led by award-winning trombonist Owen Dawson, an Old Woodbridgian, the quartet performs traditional swinging selections from the American Songbook alongside more contemporary standards chosen to showcase the diverse interests of the group’s members. Individually, the musicians have played in venues across the UK and abroad including Ronnie Scott's, Royal Festival Hall, Pizza Express Jazz Club and at many of the country's leading music festivals too. Her ‘flapper’ looks, her voice, gave her the unofficial title of ‘The Personality Girl’ Annette recorded extensively between 1926 and 1934, with numbers such as “You’re The Cream In My Coffee”, “I've Got A feeling I’m Falling”and “I Wanna Be Loved By You”. She retired to marry in 1934 and died in 1985, aged 83.
