4-H members of all ages are being asked
to inform our Montana legislatures about 4-H and
how it has impacted their lives in a positive
manner.
The theme that has been chosen for this
year is – Across Generations, Across Montana.
4-H members and volunteers travel from
across the state of Montana to Helena on Monday,
January 19th, attend an orientation dinner at 6:00
pm then attend breakfast on the morning of
January 20th.
4-H members share their stories of their 4H project work, their 4-H activities and 4-H
experiences to their legislatures.
Many of our Fallon and Carter County 4-H
families have or have had 4-H members for
multiple generations. Legislatures want to hear
our youth speak of what 4-H means to them and
their family.

WHAT ARE YOUR 4-H GOALS?
NOW IS THE TIME TO WRITE YOUR
GOALS DOWN!
Many questions have been asked in
regards to making member goals for the 4-H year
and for individual projects. Your Extension
Office has written a guide to help you create your
goals.
Non-Project 4-H Goals (to be written on your
green “My 4-H Year” sheet)
• What you want to do and learn in 4-H this
year.
• Each year your goals should change and
become more challenging.
• Goals may include leadership,
communications, citizenship and/or
community service.
Project 4-H Goals (to be written on your purple
or blue “My Project” sheet)
• What you want to do and learn in your 4H Project this year.
• Why did you enroll in this project?
• Each year your goals should change and
become more challenging.
Your 4-H Club Leaders have been given
examples of various goals that would be made by
a beginner member, a junior member and a senior
member. If you have any questions or need help
with your goal making, please ask one of your 4H Club Leaders or your Extension Office.
Examples can also be found on your
Extension website at
http://www.msuextension.org/falloncarter/
USED 4-H PROJECT MATERIALS
If you have any 4-H project books that are
not being used and have not been written in,
