On November 6th, Mariposa Elementary had their annual Heroes Assembly to
honor firefighters, police, and veterans in our community. Special guests visited
the campus of F. K. Sweet Elementary on Friday, January 9th. Florida's First Lady,
Ann Scott, Commissioner of Education, Pam Stewart, Senior Vice President of the
Milken Family Foundation, Dr. Jane Foley and other representatives from the
community surprised Nardi Routten with the Milken Educator Award. She is the
only teacher in the state of Florida to receive the award this year!
