IMPORTANT REMINDERS – New and old (just in case you did not read newsletter before)!
Semester grades are in! If your child failed any course that is required for graduation they must retake the
class to earn credit. Be proactive! DO NOT wait until your senior year to make up the classes you need!
There are several options for credit recovery:
Online school (free public online school):
Florida Virtual School - www.flvs.net
Hillsborough Virtual - www.myflvs.net
ELP Credit recovery:
See your school counselor for paperwork.
Offered daily 6:45am - 7:30 a.m. or 6th period lunch
Adult School (night school):
Preference given to seniors

JUNIORS WILL BE TAKING THEIR FREE SAT ON WEDNESDAY, 2/25/15 AT WHARTON H.S.
All juniors are automatically registered for this opportunity. YOU DON’T NEED A FEE WAIVER OR CODE TO
REGISTER FOR THIS TEST DATE. Students will be filling out a PAPER REGISTRATION FORM &
QUESTIONNAIRE through their Social Studies classes in the near future. Juniors should have a free College Board
Acount and be able to acces it prior to the SAT School Day exam. Through their account, students will be able to
view their SAT School Day registration number, request 4 free score reports, view their score
information/resources. Students must add their SAT School Day registration number into their account in order
for this to happen.
HAVE YOU TAKEN THE APPROPRIATE TESTS (SAT/ACT/PERT or FCAT, etc.) FOR COLLEGE
APPLICATION PURPOSES AND/OR TO MEET GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS?

Remember to request fee waivers (if you are free/reduced lunch eligible) before the registration

HONOR GRAD REQUIREMENTS: You must have a 4.0 District (weighted GPA) by the end of the 7th semester (must have
completed any online/virtual classes that is included in required GPA.)

SENIORS! If you have not applied to post-secondary institution, completed your FAFSA application, just need help?? Put in “Wish
