7:00pm|Nine Months To Freedom
(English/1972/72mins) Dir.S.Sukhdev. A
chronicle of the war that began in March
1971 and ended in December 1971, and led to
the formation of Bangladesh. It was a few
months into the war that would eventually
lead to the liberation of Bangladesh, when a
filmmaker began to film the exodus of
refugees from what was then East Pakistan
into Calcutta. Initially, all S. Sukhdev wanted
to do was make a film on the
meaninglessness of war. As he kept shooting,
it turned into a chronicle of Bangladesh's
fight for freedom. This documentary has the
unusual distinction of not just getting a
theatrical release, but also running for 12
weeks in Bombay. Collab: FD Zone

Onegin in Russian) is a selfish dandy who
rejects the love of a simple young country
girl, Tatyana. Sometime later, he flirts with
her sister Olga, who is betrothed to his best
