Grand High Priest’s Message
My Companions, Greetings in the name of our most gracious Lord!
Wow! Companions if you were not at Oriental Chapter for their Toast to the Grand High Priest on Saturday the 28 th of February, you
missed a fantastic event!! We had 23 Companions and Brothers present, including the entire elected Grand Chapter line, 3 sitting
Excellent High Priests, 5 installed Worshipful Masters and the District Deputy to the Grand Master in District #5. VEC Coe Tug
Morgan prepared a delicious meal and EC John Smiley acted as the Master of Ceremonies for the Table Chapter. After an evening of
feasting and toasting, and a few words from the Grand High Priest all went their way very glad to have attended. I would like to take
this opportunity to extend my sincerest thanks to the Companions of Oriental Chapter for a wonderful evening honoring me and the
Worshipful Masters that attended, and Companions, if Oriental Chapter does this again for our next Grand High Priest, make your
reservation early as if you miss it, you will have missed a very memorable event!
Since my last FOCUS article to you all we had a second dedicated Companion file for the office of Grand Scribe. Companions, you
now have a choice to make as to who will join the Grand Chapter line and work to lead us into the future. I have also been advised by
our Grand Secretary that we have 3 carry over resolutions and 9 new resolutions that were filed for consideration. Of the 9 new, we
shall have to wait to see how many will pass muster with Jurisprudence, Finance and General Purposes and actually make it to the
floor, but as you can see, we have lots of important business ahead of us for consideration at Grand Sessions this year. High Priests,
please be sure to discuss these matters in your Chapters, and Companions, please make every effort to attend our Grand Sessions in
May. If you have a vote, please plan on attending and exercising your franchise. And, even if you don’t yet have a vote, please plan
on attending and observing how YOUR Grand Chapter operates.
I continue to ask for your support of RAMCHF, and on new ways to get the word out about our philanthropy. Do you have a good
idea on new and effective ways to get the word out about how we can help the children of our state? If so, let us know. On behalf of
our Grand Scribe, remember: all the funds contained in (or that have been placed in and then banked for safekeeping) the Chapter’s
Heartbeat Box belong to Grand Chapter as our donation to RAMCHF and MUST be submitted to the Grand Scribe by the opening of
Grand Chapter in May.
Two other items on our RAMCHF: 1st, it is not controlled by Grand Chapter, it is controlled by a Board of Trustees that we elect
every year at the annual meeting which happens at 11:00 a.m. during our Grand Chapter session. The Board of Trustees then elects a
President and a Secretary/Treasurer who handle the daily administration and operation of the Foundation. 2 nd, as a number of
questions have surfaced lately concerning RAMCHF, the Board of Trustees has invited all who have questions, or desire more
information, or who just want to see how the Board functions, to attend the next Board Meeting at the Palace Café in Ellensburg at
10:00 a.m. on Saturday the 28th of March. Remember RAMCHF is our philanthropy, let’s get informed and involved, and keep it
serving the children of our state.
Registration and Sessions details are now online, please make plans to attend Grand Sessions in Wenatchee in May!
My Companions, I look forward to seeing each and every one of you as I travel around our great state this year. Let’s have fun and
take our fraternity to even greater heights by sharing the light with all whom you come into contact. Remember: In Royal Arch, to
have one be one, ask one!
Grace and Peace,

Grand Illustrious Master’s Message
To our Companions;
As the frozen fingers of the Ice World encompass the East Coasters, we on the other hand are relatively warm. Trees are
blossoming! Our part of the earth is awakening from its sleep. God’s hand is busy painting the pastels pedals of the early
flowers of spring. The grass is turning greener and starting to grow.
Our Masonic World is also awakening. Degree work is being performed and new members are being given more Masonic
Light as they continue their travels on paths to enlightenment. Yes, it is the time of the year where everything starts to
grow and we as Cryptic Masons are doing the same thing.
As my year in the East of the Grand Council draws to an end, I am busy with the work of Grand Council and setting up a
meeting of all our members in Wenatchee. As we meet on Saturday, I am hoping for a good turnout of younger members
so that they get to see their Grand Council at labor in the quarry.
Yes, this year the York Rite Grand Sessions will be held in Wenatchee. We will be using the Lodge located at Chelan Ave
and 9th St for our meetings. We will be kicking off the Sessions on Wednesday with the Order of High Priesthood, the
Order of the Silver Trowel (Past Illustrious Master), and the Past Commander’s Order. Then we will have a relaxing
Grand Commander’s Dinner. This dinner is open to all who want to attend. After the dinner we will be having the annual
Necrology gathering. Wow…what a start to the Grand Sessions! All of our new Excellent High Priests and Illustrious
Masters should have received their Orders and all of last year’s Eminent Commanders received their Rueben A. Baer
awards.
Thursday starts with Grand Chapter this year! MEGHP E. Jeffrey Craig will be presiding. Friday continues with Grand
Commandery and REGC Anthony Schwab presiding. The Grand York Rite Dinner will be held on Friday night with the
awards presentations. Grand Council closes on Saturday. Make your hotel reservations with the Red Lion in Wenatchee.
With a $99.00 per night room rate, you will get a great room and receive a breakfast buffet each morning. I am hoping
that we have the registration form available by the time you read this. The registration form has the Group Rate Code for
making your reservations.
For all of our Companions and Sir Knights, please reserve a small place in your busy schedules to spend a few days with
other Companions and Sir Knights from across the state. With the permission of my Eminent Commander, I hope to have
our new Commandery Banner flowing at our Grand Commandery Conclave for everyone to view.

Grand Commander’s Message
Sir Knights,
Here we are at that time of year when we are looking for spring to start. With this change we get
ready to change our clocks and get our new spring outfits to wear. Putting clocks ahead benefits
many different activities that use after-working hours as their entertainment time or social time.
Daylight Saving Time clock shifts sometimes complicate many items such as travel and most of all
our sleep patterns. With this change we can reduce the use of electricity, heating and cooling usage.
Perhaps these signs of spring can be used to help us in our efforts to continue our work in Knight
Templar meetings and getting new members.
This month celebrates St. Patrick’s Day and wearing of the Green when we all become Irish. Enjoy
yourself and bring another Knight into our Order.

Royal Arch Masons Children’s Heart Foundation
www.ramchf.org
February 2015
Companions,
Our next Heart Foundation meeting is on the 28 th of March. If you haven’t notified us of your
attendance please do. We must assure that we have enough space for those in attendance. I now
have some children’s quilts and would like to auction them at our Grand Convocation in May. If you
have young children or grandchildren, please consider giving them as gifts. It is a good fundraiser for
YOUR Foundation. Our Grand Scribe has a good technique for getting Life Memberships. These are
for non-Masons. If you haven’t seen him in action please talk with him. Remember — if you haven’t
come in to the office before please contact me and make an appointment. We would be glad to have
to come and see what we do. It appears that we will need at least one new Trustee in the near
future. If you haven’t served or know someone who hasn’t and would like to please let me know.
Otherwise, please put his name forward at our meeting in May. We need the assistance of not only
the Trustees but the members of our Grand Chapter to get possible cases for the Foundation. All it
takes is a phone call with a possible name and phone number. We will handle the rest.

Degree Work
Select Master Degree
March 20, 2015
Adoniram Council No 17 will confer the Select Master degree on a group of candidates at our Friday,
March 20th stated assembly. Dinner is at 6:30PM and degree at 7:30PM. Courtesy candidates are
welcome with appropriate notice to the Council. We meet at the Greenwood Masonic Center in
Seattle.
Companions of Tacoma York Rite Bodies:
We have scheduled Steilacoom Lodge #2 for our use on March 7, 2015 to put on the first three
degrees of the Royal Arch: Mark Master, Past Master, and Most Excellent Master.
Our Candidates are Nathan Allen and Julian Wheeler.
We need all of our members available that day to assist in the degree work as well as setup and tear
down of the lodge room for our degrees.
This is the first notice of this work going out.
We need to be at the Lodge at 11:00AM to start setting up for the Mark Master Degree.
Candidates need to be at Lodge at 2:00PM to start your degree work.
We have to make special arrangements for the start times of our degrees for Bro Wheeler. I think a
2PM start time will work for him.
