4-H Record Books
It’s not too early to be thinking
about putting together your 4-H
Record Book! Formats are split
into three age levels: Junior, Intermediate, and Senior. Training videos are
online at www.4hreports.com. Completion of a 4H Record Book earns you a project pin in your
main project (record book category). Record
Books will continue to be printed and placed in
green binders for submission and judging. Binders/Covers are available at the Extension office
for $2.00 each. Books are due to the Extension
Office by Wednesday, June 3rd.
For those that do NOT submit a Record Book,
you can still receive a Completion Certificate by
turning in a Project Summary Form. This is a
short (2 page) document that asks you to briefly
describe your project learning experience, club
leadership, and community service. Completion
Certificates will be presented at your May club
meeting. Project Summary Forms are due to the
Extension Office by Wednesday, April 15th.
Forms are available on the county 4-H website.
IMPORTANT: If you validated your horse(s) last year and plan
to use the same horse(s) this year, you DO NOT have to start
all over with uploading papers; just log into 4-H Connect and
click the box next to each name you want to “reactivate” then
follow the steps from there. Contact the Extension Office if you
have any questions.

conference will be set up “on the big screen” in the classroom at the County Extension Office. No
RSVP needed if you want to come to the office to participate, just bring your lunch and join us!
Call us at 575-4581 if you have questions.
Spring Clover Campaign
Contact our local TSC store manager today (576-3273) to find out how to set up a table at the
store to sell clovers. 100% of the funds will benefit 4-H with 60-65% going DIRECTLY TO OUR
LOCAL 4-H PROGRAM. In years’ past we have been a top selling county across the state! 4-H
county programs can raise up to 40% more money just by having clubs participate in-store during
the campaign! Be sure and wear your 4-H shirts while working the clover table at TSC.
Community Service Opportunity
This can be done on an individual level or as a club service project. Monies can be raised and turned in through
May. Also, volunteers are needed to help with a lemonade stand at District Roundup, April 18th at Northside
Baptist Church in Victoria. Contact Shelly Marbach at 361-935-3247 or Wendy Bishop at the Dewitt County
Extension Office at 361-275-0816 to volunteer for a time slot at District Roundup.
