All rights reserved. policy • Arrival Times It is very important that the children arrive on time in the morning A late arrival will mean that the child will miss out on important interrelating sections of the day's activities. • Pick-up Arrangements For safety reasons, if you are unable to pick-up your child, please inform us through e-mail only. • Parking Regulations We do not have parking facility and you are advised to park your vehicle at any of the parking areas nearby. • Buggies and Strollers If you are unable to take your buggy or strollers, please ask the staff where you may leave it. • Attire and clothing supplies Please bring 1 change of clothing and diaper supplies (only if needed). Please label all belongings. • Lunch and Snack Please send a variety of healthy food that your child enjoys. Water will be served during lunch. • Lunch is at 11:30 snack is at 15:00 • Catering services: ¥450 for lunch and ¥200 for snack. (optional) • Make up days No make up days are available due to weather conditions or natural disaster. If due to illness, the matter will be taken upon consideration depending on the availability of space. • Absence from class Please call at 8:30 a.m. (before program starts) to notify staff, if your child is ill or will be absent. • Health Please keep your child at home if the body temperature is above 37.5℃. • Illness In general, if your child has a fever, nausea, vomit or diarrhea, he/she should always be kept at home. The options are flexible and most of our programs are suitable to accommodate your kid’s needs. Our program includes arts, cooking and dance camps, sports and academic activities. All rights reserved. What is Camp Ayla? Camp Ayla is a bilingual season camp that is offered during spring, summer and winter. The program is in dual-language (Japanese and English). It also offers a fun and safe environment where kids can build self-confidence, make friends and learn something new in an enjoyable manner. Kids at Camp Ayla are able to focus on either one particular area of their interest, or they can choose to have a variety of activities to enjoy during their camp stay. The options are flexible and most of our programs are suitable to accommodate your kid’s needs. Our program includes arts, cooking and dance camps, sports and academic activities. Our camps provide all the traditional and recreational activities that have become a distinguished aspect of camps. At Camp Ayla, we work to nurture the development of all our kids as we assist them in building strong relationships, strengthening their self-worth, and challenge themselves to new skills. It is our goal that they approach the future with more courage and confidence due to the experiences that they have at camp. Access Separation of older children from younger: Our program is a mixed-age group program, but we do separate children during activities and learning time, in two age groups (2-4 year-olds, 5-9 year-olds). Catering service (optional) Japanese lunch box costs 450 yen served at 12:00 Snacks cost 100 yen served at 15:00 We encourage children to eat with chopsticks during mealtime. Disciplinary procedures: Our commonly used form of discipline for children is called “thinking time.” It is a cooling off period. We usually discuss what happened and what can be done instead. The child is also given the opportunity to practice the correct behavior. Bullying: We have zero tolerance on bullying matters. We would require withdrawal of a child from our program in the case of extreme misbehavior or unacceptable conduct.
