Daily Activities Explained
Monday 6th April
What to bring & arrival time

Tuesday 7th April
Today we will feel the beat, with a fun, active and body shaking Zumba
class. We will also be creating some bright and funky clothes during our tie-dying workshop. In the
kitchen, we will be using common household products to conduct many fun and educational experiments that you can later try at home.

Wednesday 8th April
Today years 3-6 will be travelling to Sydney’s largest indoor playground,
Wizzy World at Chatswood. Along with conquering the mega 3 story play gym and obstacle
courses, children will get the opportunity to use the indoor Sports Centre where they can play soccer, basketball and netball. We will be traveling by chartered coach to and from the venue. K-2 will
be making their own amazing super hero capes, cooking yummy, healthy Bliss Balls and enjoying a
challenging scavenger hunt across the school grounds.

Thursday 9th April
Today K-2 will be travelling to Clowntown Indoor Playland at Rosehill. Children will have the opportunity to let loose on the 3 story playground, obstacle courses and rock
climbing wall while being fully supervised by Funhouse staff. We will be traveling by chartered
coach to and from the venue. Years 3-6 will craft their very own woodwork masterpieces, cook
yummy brownies and enjoy a challenging scavenger hunt across the school grounds.

Friday 10th April
Today we will get active and feel the rhythm during our Brazilian Capoeira
Martial Arts incursion. Capoeira blends music, dance, fight and acrobatic skills to build child selfconfidence and teach discipline, respect and friendship. We will also construct gravity defying
wooden aeroplanes and create beautiful sand art masterpieces.

Monday 13th April
Today years 3-6 will be hiring bikes at Olympic Park and enjoy riding together as a group. We will also be having a lovely picnic lunch and a play on the park equipment.
Children MUST wear a helmet. We will be traveling by chartered coach to and from the venue. K-2
will spend the day at Funhouse riding their bikes, scooters, skateboards and skates around the
school. Don’t forget your wheels and helmets!

Tuesday 14th April
Today the Police are visiting Funhouse to teach us important lessons on

how to stay safe on the streets and online. We will also learn to play the games our parents use to, Water bottle & hat
like elastics and marbles, and design our very own hacky sack for juggling fun.
Wednesday 15th April
Today K-2 will be visiting Fagan Park for a day of active play on the
playground, a tour of the gardens and a yummy picnic lunch. We will be traveling by chartered
coach to and from the venue. Years 3-6 will be spending the day at Funhouse taking part in a relaxing yoga workshop and getting creative decorating their own ipod/phone holder and knitting fun.

Thursday 16th April
Today we will have an action packed time during our Fun Sports Day incursion. Children will get the opportunity to take part in gladiator duals, bumper ball fun, sumo
wrestling and much more. We will also be making some delicious old fashioned lemonade which
we will be selling to parents from our Funhouse Lemonade Stand in the afternoon.

Friday 17th April
Today we celebrate with our very own Funhouse Carnival! There will be a
jumping castle, sideshow games like giant darts and twister, delicious Carnival Potato Fritters to
make and a special soccer training session.

Monday 20th April
Today we say goodbye to the holidays with a mega movie themed party!
We will watch some of our favourite flicks, design costumes, cook some gourmet popcorn treats
and play super fun games. Years 5-6 will be walking to a nearby venue (TBA) for a special lunch.

Breakfast now available until 8.30am
No re-heating of food will be done at the Centre. Do not send peanut products. Wear enclosed shoes, hat, comfortable and sun safe
clothing (no singlet) and wear your Funhouse t-shirt when attending excursion days.
Please do NOT allow children to bring expensive toys such as DS, mobile phone, ipods.

I give permission for Castle Hill Funhouse Inc. to take my child/ren to Wizzy World, Chatswood. Children will play on the indoor playground, the indoor sports centre and have morning tea and lunch at the venue. Children will be closely supervised by
staff at all times. We will travel by chartered bus to and from the venue and will arrive back to Funhouse around 3pm.

Monday 20th April 2015
I give permission for Castle Hill Funhouse Inc. to take my child/ren to a restaurant in Castle Hill. Excursion location will be
decided closer to the date with parents informed via the Funhouse whiteboard. Children in year 5 & 6 will be walking with staff
to the venue for a group lunch. Children must wear their Funhouse t-shirts and will return to Funhouse around 2pm.
IMPORTANT: CHANGES OF EXCURSION
I give permission for my child/ren to attend an indoor playground such as Lollipop Playland in Castle Hill or Go Banana’s in
St-Mary’s or AMF Bowling in Castle Hill in the event of a change of excursion due to the weather or other constraints. I understand the children will be travelling in a private charter to and from the venue and the staff will provide the best care possible.

our newsletter and on our website. If you do not wish for your child’s photo to be taken or used for these purposes please let
