City & Guilds 6156 Streetworks Excavation & Reinstatement
Product Update – May 2015
This update is to inform centres offering 6156-01, 6156 -02 or 6156-12 Streetworks of changes to the
qualification.
Some of you may have been having problems with duplicate certificates being issued when reassessment
candidates are being re-certified on 6156-01 for units previously taken. The same situation applied to
those taking 6156-02 & 6156-12 reassessment qualifications for a second or subsequent time. To provide
a solution for this we have added two new qualifications 6156-21 which is equivalent to 6156-01 and 615622 which is equivalent to 6156-02 and 6156-12.
6156-01, 6156-02 & 6156-12 will be closed for new candidate entries. This does not affect candidates
already certified on 6156-01, 6156-02 & 6156-12 who wish to add further pathways.
Please ensure you register all candidates who are taking Streetworks for the first time and those being
reassessed using the initial assessment on 6156-21. For those being reassessed using the multiple
choice questions please use 6156-22.
When using 6156-21 and 6156-22, centres are now required to register candidates prior to entering
results. Although this means two separate orders (instead of one previously), Walled Garden will not
require any additional data. You will not be charged for registering candidates. You can also use an
Electronic Entry form (EDI) to register and enter results. 6156-22 includes an option to use the Evolve
online multiple choice questions which again would require registration to enter the candidate. We
have therefore made the process the same for all new pathways. You can enter a candidates results
immediately after registering them. You will also need to enter a certification module (901-924) for the
pathway they have completed. This will enable the correct certificate to be issued. These can be found in
Table 2 on page 3.
*Top tip – When you are registering candidates copy the enrolment number so that when you enter
results you can paste their number and Walled Garden will recognise them.
Centres will have automatic approval for the equivalent pathways they are currently approved for.

To use the new qualifications you will have to use the new unit numbers and these are shown on Table 1
on page 2.
All assessment documents have been renumbered and can be found in 6156-21(Initial assessment) or
6156-22 (Re-assessment) assessment materials.
Please ensure this information is communicated to all centre staff involved in this qualification.
