Circular 22 of ASA 2015 - ANNOUNCEMENT OF ASA TEAMS FOR INTERNATIONAL
COMPETITIONS IN 2015
Athletics South Africa (ASA) hereby announces the following teams and squad for
international championships during 2015:
1. The ASA team to the CAA Southern Region Senior Championships, scheduled for 12
to 14 June 2015 in Mauritius [ASA Senior Team Mauritius 2015]
All athletes in the team must please confirm their availability for the championships and
forward a copy of their passports to ASA for attention Neli Mabanga
([email protected])
Any athlete not in the announced team, have the right to appeal in writing for
reconsideration of the decision of the selectors. All appeals must be forwarded to
Hezekiel Sepeng ([email protected]) by no later than Wednesday, 20 May
2015 at 12:00. The appeal should include all relevant information.
2. The ASA Preliminary team to the IAAF Youth Championships, scheduled for 15 to 19
July 2015 in Cali, Colombia [ASA Preliminary Youth Team Colombia 2015]
Any athlete not in the announced preliminary team, have the right to appeal in writing
for reconsideration of the decision of the selectors. All appeals must be forwarded to
Hezekiel Sepeng ([email protected]) by no later than Monday, 25 May 2015
at 12:00. The appeal should include all relevant information. The final team will be
announced on Monday, 8 June 2015.

3. The ASA squad to the IAAF Senior Championships, scheduled for 22 to 30 August
2015 in Beijing, China [ASA senior squad Beijing 2015]
Any athlete not in the announced squad, have the right to appeal in writing for
reconsideration of the decision of the selectors. All appeals must be forwarded to
Hezekiel Sepeng ([email protected]) by no later than Monday, 25 May 2015
at 12:00. The appeal should include all relevant information. The preliminary team will
be announced on Wednesday, 3 June 2015.
For team preparation all athletes in the teams and the squad are requested to complete
the attached bio-data forms (even if it was done recently) and return it with 4 passport
photos and a copy of their passport to ASA for attention Neli Mabanga
([email protected]).
All Youth athletes for Colombia must also forward a copy of their unabridged birth
certificate to Neli Mabanga. Please note that it is compulsory for any person under the age
of 18 to be in possession of an unabridged birth certificate to leave or enter the country.
