painted plasters, exposed reinforced concrete, precast
concrete panels, fibre cement, wood
CHARACTERISTICS
free of loose bits. Apply a coat of Metro Fix and
subsequently a coat of Metro Cover in order to level
the substrate.
Already painted or varnished wooden substrates:
scrape partially or generally to eliminate residues of
existing paint or varnish that is not firmly adherent or
completely remove the existing paint by washing with
a stripping solvent-based product.
New wooden substrates or old substrates already
treated as above:
grout here and there to fill in any gaps and
microcrazing with Metro Stuc. Sand lightly to make the
surface to be treated level and even. Apply a coat of
Metro Fix and sand slightly. Then verify the consistency
of the substrate: if there are dust and/or loose bits it is
necessary to apply again Metro Fix. Apply a coat of
Metro Cover in order to level the substrate.

Ambient temperature: min +5°C max +40°C

Preparation of the substrate
Walls:
the substrates must be carefully prepared by manual
brushing and/or by washing, depending on how dirty is
the surface to treat. Old paints must be removed.
Before applying on wet plaster make sure that it is set.
Apply a coat of Metro Fix and subsequently a coat of
Metro Cover in order to level the substrate.
Plasterboard:
the substrates must be carefully prepared by manual
brushing and/or by washing, making sure that they are
ready to use
Application procedure
Apply, using a stainless-steel float, one or more layers
of SOUL CEMENT. Any rough parts of the substrate
should be treated with Metro Stuc beforehand or with
several coats of SOUL CEMENT. For marbled type
finishes, wet the last coat with a sprayer and smooth
with a stainless-steel float until a smooth, satiny finish
is obtained, or is possible to finish aesthetically the
substrate sanding with fine sand paper.
The second layer can be applied after 2 h in normal
conditions; the complete drying obtains after about 68 h. The above mentioned data depend on the
absorption of the substrate and the ambient
conditions.

≈ 0,35 mm
Coverage
On two-coat render: 1.6 m2/kg (one coat); 0.8 m2/kg
(two coats); On plaster skim coat: 2 m2/kg (one coat);
Recommended amount used per m2: 1250 g (two coats)
Coverage per pack (20 kg): 40 m2 approx.
The coverage varies greatly according to the roughness
of the substrate

continuous surface, otherwise, slight differences
cannot be excluded

Storage
Minimum and maximum temperature: +5°C +30°C.
The stability of the product is guaranteed for one year
if it is stored in its original packaging in a dry,
sheltered place. Do not store the product at less than
5°C.
SAFETY INFORMATION

amendments.

Classifiable with code 150102. Potentially treatable as
urban waste material in accordance with the
regulations of the individual municipalities Metal

If the containers contain residues of liquid material
they can be classified as code 080112
