The Los Angeles Metro Employer Advisory Council is composed of employee volunteers representing a cross section of business and industry. EAC's were developed to promote a stronger partnership between the California Employment Development Department (EDD) and the business community. The L.A. Metro EAC is one of more than 50 similar organizations throughout California, all networking at the state level under the umbrella organization, the California Employer Advisory Council (CEAC). While the L.A. Metro EAC functions at the local level by providing educational business seminars, the CEAC tackles state and federal employment issues, communicates with legislative representative and gains grassroots support on legislative issues. The L.A.
