Short stop at Mekari Service Area on the Kyushu Expressway (scenic
overlook for the Kanmon Strait)

Visit Chofu Japanese garden (a beautiful, historic Japanese garden)

Kanmon Tunnel experience (enjoy a ten-minute stroll under the Kanmon
Strait)

Lunch at the Former Mitsui Club restaurant (Professor and Mrs. Einstein
stayed over here on their visit to Japan)

*note: Participants who wish to return to Kokura at this time can do so from nearby Mojiko JR
Station. Mojiko JR station is the oldest station in this region and has some beautiful Japanese
rickshaw. It takes about 15min by train.
