formed into a rectangular grid mat to protect
against mechanical damage.
Use
Acts as a protective shield for
pipeline coatings both
onshore and offshore.
Protects Buried Pipelines
1. To be backfilled with rocky materials.
2. Laid in peat or similar terrain where eventual “bottom”
after settlement is unpredictable.
3. Avoidance of damaging soil consolidation or shrinkage
stresses.
Protects Submarine Pipelines
1. At field welds.
2. Lay or derrick barge executed wrap and fix fabrications,
spool pieces etc.
Assists Cathodic Protection
The Servishield design encourages maximum dispersion
of the cathodic protection current to the surface of the
coating.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS
1. Individual sheets are placed around
the pipe. If necessary they can be cut to
size on site.
2. The sheet ends are overlapped and
secured by quick fit plastic ties or by
circumferential strapping.
3. Each subsequent sheet is butted up to
the preceding one.
