Summer Hours Starting in
May
The Library will soon be switching to summer
hours. This means that May 10th will be the
last Sunday we are open until Fall. We will
still be open until 9pm, Monday-Thursday, and
until 5pm, Friday and Saturday. We will be
open Sunday again starting on September 13th.

Recycling Your Old Phone?
Good Call!
You can now recycle your old cell phones
(and accessories) at the Library! The Library
has partnered with Recycle My Cell to provide
Chestermere residents with a chance to
conscientiously dispose of electronic devices.
Why Recycle? Your phone can do good, but
not at the bottom of a forgotten drawer.
Recycling ensures it stays out of the landfill,
and might even help generate funds for
charitable recycling programs. Any unwanted
cell phones can now be dropped off at the
Library. Phones are either refurbished and
sold or recycled responsibly with Canadian
processors.
Bin Confused?
Do you have questions about the changes to
recycling in Chestermere? Come out
Saturday, May 9th at 2pm and hear our CUI
(Chestermere Utilities Incorporated)
representative explain the ‘ins’ and ‘outs’ of
this new program. You can also visit the
Library to grab a copy of CUI’s Frequently
Asked Questions. On Tuesdays and
Thursdays (10am-2pm), you may even find
helpful CUI folks stationed in the Library,
displaying the new bins and answering any
questions. Say ‘hi’, and take this great
opportunity to clear up any confusion about
the upcoming changes.

Bus is
Coming!
The C.O.W.
(Classroom on
Wheels) bus is
a friendly
space for
parents and
young
children, zero
to six years, to learn and explore fun new
ways to add literacy activities into their
daily lives. They will be visiting the
Library on Monday, May 25, from Noon
to 4pm. Don’t miss out on the fun – drop
by with your little ones.
Recycling Your Device? Please ensure that:
1) The account for the device has been fully paid
and service has been deactivated.
2) Any headsets and chargers for the device are
included with your donation (These accessories
also contain recyclable and salvageable materials).
3) The SIM card is removed if there is one.
4) Clear your device of all personal information
before recycling!
