to directing a full-time clinical practice
in Phoenix, Arizona (USA) Chris rigorously
conducted scientific research to better understand
the mechanisms of chiropractic adjustments. Along
the way, he developed research collaborations with spine
surgeons, biomechanists, anatomists, and neuroscientists and
published over 50 papers in the scientific literature. In fact, he is a
reviewer for several journals you are familiar with like JMPT, Spine, Clinical
Biomechanics, and the European Spine Journal, among others. Chris won the 1st
Prize Scott Haldeman Award at the World Federation of Chiropractic (WFC) for
his neurophysiological and biomechanical research into the mechanisms of spinal
manipulation. He was also awarded the MacNab/Larocca Fellowship from the
International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine (ISSLS) for his research into
intervertebral disc regeneration. Currently Chris is finishing his PhD in Kinesiology
at Arizona State University, in addition to serving as the CEO of Neuromechanical
Innovations, the medical device manufacturer of the Impulse® Instruments, an ISO
13485 Certified and UL Listed medical device establishment that he founded
in 2000.
Over the past two decades Dr. Colloca has given hundreds of lectures to
chiropractors and medical physicians on six continents. Typically he travels in excess
of 200,000 miles each year bringing the message of scientific advancements in the
field and the technology development culminating in the Impulse Adjusting System®
to the masses in the chiropractic profession – and its caught on. It’s estimated that
over 1.25 million adjustments are performed weekly with the Impulse® Instruments
equating to over 650M adjustments annually. Chris’ seminars are enlightening,
