THE OFFERING during the worship services today is for our local Alberta Conference Advance. It will help provide funds for
conference evangelism, building project assistance, education at all levels, and the operation of Foothills Camp for camp meeting,

OUR SYMPATHY goes to Derrick and Rosemarie Welch, and their family on the recent loss of Derrick’s father, Henry Welch. A
memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 2:00 p.m. at the Sylvan Lake SDA Church. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made to Sylvan Meadows Adventist School or the Red Deer Hospice Society.
THIS EVENING everyone is invited to vespers here in the church. The speaker, Pastor Ty Gibson, is a best selling author and a
passionate communicator with a message that opens minds and moves hearts by emphasizing God’s unfailing love as the central
theme of the Bible. Vespers will begin at 6:30 p.m. with very light refreshments to follow.
HELP! This summer we are in desperate need for help in our Junior Sabbath School (boys and girls in grades 5 and 6; 10 - 12 years
old) and Kindergarten division (age 4 to ECS). We have a few Sabbaths where many teachers are away. If you can help, please call

NEXT SABBATH, May 30, we will celebrate Communion during the worship service.
LACOMBE DAYS EVENT: The coordinator of the Lacombe Days has once again invited the College Height Church to participate in
the event this year which is on Sunday, July 26 (yes, that is one week later than last year). They have asked us to run an old
fashioned type picnic/fair for a couple of hours Sunday afternoon, for children ages 6 - 14. If you are interested in helping to run or
plan activities for the event that day please respond on a pink slip or call the church office, 403-782-6131. If you have responded to
an email from Brian or indicated by phone or other method, your desire to serve as a volunteer, you will not need to reply again.
This is a great opportunity to interface with the community and we look forward to a fun time. Thank you, Brian Leavitt, Program

LADIES PRAYER GROUP that meets on Thursday morning is on summer recess until September.
FOOTHILLS CAMP is the place to be this summer! This year’s theme is “FOLLOW JESUS!” and we are gearing up for an amazing

BURMAN/PAA ALUMNI HOMECOMING: Burman University (formerly Canadian University College) and Parkview Adventist
Academy invite you to Homecoming weekend June 5-7. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Our Adventist Heritage – The Past
Guiding Our Future.” The guest speaker will be Siegfried Roeske. Special features for the weekend are the alumni picnic, gala
alumni banquet, huge Sabbath potluck, pancake breakfast, and more. For those who plan to attend the potluck and are able, we ask
that you bring an entrée, salad, and dessert.

COMING UP: Burman University Physical Education Department is pleased to announce that Stephen Jepson of Geneva, Florida
will be at the Burman Physical Education Center on June 3 at 7:00 p.m. Stephen Jepson, now in his mid seventies, has developed a
physical fitness program called “Never Leave the Playground” that will inspire and motivate all those who see his presentation. He
travels all over the world presenting activities that will improve both physical and mental well-being. You will not want to miss this
exciting and inspiring event. Free admission, but an offering will be taken.
