Day: Tuesdays Time: 2:00-3:00pm Announcements & Information SENIOR CORNER Dee Fournier: Dee was born in Sioux City, Iowa and to this day still feels her roots there. Before she retired and moved to Puyallup she lived and owned her own business in California for 18 years. She has a daughter and 3 grandchildren. Hobbies: Dee is very active and has many interests. She enjoys genealogy, sewing, reading, writing and right now, Italian cooking. She is writing a couple of books and collects cook books. She told me that when she reads a recipe, she can actually “taste” it. One of the gifts of her exploration into genealogy has been to help others find people they have been looking for. Just here at SCC, she assisted our Zena in finding out where her father was born and is buried in England. She offers this service at the senior center free of charge. Thank you Dee! Senior Center Member: About 1 1/2 years ago Dee came to the center to look into offering her genealogy class and has been coming ever since. Thank you for all of your ideas and contribution to SSC members. Favorite Memory: Celebrating the holiday parties is very special, as she lives alone and enjoys sharing these moments with her friends. She’s loving life at the Senior Center!! Mt. Valley Art Club, Ar st of the Month! The Sumner Senior Center would like to recognize Mt. Valley Art Club Artist of the Month, Shirley Olive! Stop by and check out our “Art Wall” and view all of the beautiful oil paintings by the Shirley. Facility Rental The Sumner Senior Center is available to rent for private parties.
