THE COMPANY
NAMIRIAL S.p.a. is an IT company focus on software development and provisioning of services. Customers
are some of the most important professional organizations, Local, Regional and National Public
Administration Institutions, Banks, Insurance Companies, private Companies. Advanced technology and
high flexibility, mixed with the best cost/performance ratio, are factors that have led NAMIRIAL to be
granted major tenders.
NAMIRIAL services, products and solutions comply with security and quality standards required by
current Italian legislation (one of the strongest in the world), and are based on highly innovative
technologies and processes.
HISTORY
NAMIRIAL was established in 2000 thanks to the vision of two smart entrepreneurs. They understood
very quickly that IT would change the known world quickly, mainly for small/medium companies and
professional freelancers. So they invested to offer services and products to help their clients to better face
the new challenging digital world.
NAMIRIAL started to develop and resell many software packages specifically designed for the needs of
small companies and professional freelancers including payroll, tax return, building and construction.
When was introduced in Italy, in 2007, the certified e-mail (PEC) NAMIRIAL decided to offer its own service
and to be accredited by the Ministry for Innovation and Technologies. A few years later the next step was
to become a Certification Authority, issuing digital certificates and wide range of services for information
security. In 2010 NAMIRIAL has been an accredited Certification Authority, registered with the Public
Certification Authorities List held by the Ministry for Innovation and Technologies.

IT SECURITY
Context
NAMIRIAL, acting as an accredited Certification Authority registered with the Public Certification Authorities
list held by the Ministry for Innovation and Technologies, can issue and manage a wide range of legal
compliant certificates, to meet with all customers’ requirements (office automation, system integration,
network security and so on).
NAMIRIAL issues and manages the following certificates:

Qualified Digital Signature certificates (CNIPA, directive 1999/93/EC)

CNS (National Health Services Card) Authentication certificates

Card Verifiable Certificates (CVC BSI TR-03110 used by e-passport)
 Certified e-mail certificates, issued for the S/MIME

Windows smart card logon certificates

Customized certificates
Certificates are issued by a web application performing to the best security levels.
CA services provided are compliant with UNI EN ISO 9001: 2000 quality standard. Certification Services can

Certification Authority Outsourcing Services
NAMIRIAL, thanks its PKI architecture, is able to offer a very interesting and competitive Certification
Authority (CA) outsourcing service so the customer can have their own certified CA without important
investments and in a very short time.
Digital Signature Kit
In compliance with Italian law relating to digital signatures NAMIRIAL offers a wide range of digital
signature kits with a client application to sign any kind of digital files (including .xml files). All NAMIRIAL
products are based on an extremely reliable technology from prime suppliers.
NAMIRIAL different kits allow you to have:

 USB token with SIM card and memory (up to 32 GB) to store applications and documents

Certified e-mail Services (PEC)
NAMIRIAL offer the service named as Electronic Certified Mail (acronym PEC) by Italian law.
The Certified e-mail System provides senders with legally valid electronic documentation of the sending and
delivery of electronic documents.
“Certifying” both these key steps in the transmission of electronic files provides the sender with a receipt for
any messages and attachments they have sent. This receipt is provided by the sender’s e-mail service
operator and constitutes legal proof that the message was sent.
When the message reaches the addressee, the e-mail service operator sends a time-stamped receipt back
to the sender. This receipt indicates and certifies whether the message was delivered or not.
Certified e-mail services certify also the integrity and authorship of e-mail messages and attachments.
In Italy, by law, only authorized and accredited operators can provide Certified e-mail services.

Time Stamping Services
In compliance with Italian law relating to digital signatures and in line with the requirements about
confirming at the same time the existence and validity of an electronic document NAMIRIAL developed
their Time Stamping service. A Time Stamp allows you to legally prove the date and time of an electronic
document. Such a service is useful to those who have to archive or file electronic documents that are
digitally signed, particularly documents having legal validity.
Handwritten biometric Signature
NAMIRIAL introduced an innovative and unique solution to use the Biometric of Handwritten Signature to
digitally sign documents, fully respecting legislation and privacy for digital signatures.
The main goal was to solve the problem of signing a digital document if the person who has to sign does
not have a digital signature, but certifying the integrity and authorship of the document to the same
standards as if it were signed with digital signature.
With NAMIRIAL’s solution it is now possible to sign with a pen using a device without any documents
printing. Thanks to a software mechanism entirely developed by NAMIRIAL, while the customer is signing
on the tablet, all the biometric data of the signature are detected (pen-up pen-down, angle, time, pressure,
speed, acceleration). All those information, combined with the graphic signature, are used to encrypt the
“hash” of the document that was signed.
Introducing this solution into any organization (banks, financial companies, insurance, hotels, car rental,
telco providers, commercial companies, etc.) it is possible dramatically to reduce paper work, to eliminate
photocopies and scanning, to facilitate retrieval, to guarantee integrity and authorship of documents, and
to save a lot of money and time.
The version studied for the mobility works perfectly online and offline in order to allow the job continuity in
every connectivity conditions.
The NAMIRIAL solution is certified ISO 27001.
