We would like to thank all the businesses and individuals that have donated to the project so far. Your generosity has been helpful in getting us to the where we are today. Last fall Superior Play and Michigan Recreation Construction worked on getting the underground infrastructure and concrete surface in. This past December the Michigan Department of Natural Resources awarded the City of St. Johns a grant to make improvements in the City Park. Some of these improvements include shade structures and sidewalks for the spray park area. These two items are significant in getting the spray park open this summer. The Grand Opening date will be announced later this spring. Although much has been done, we are still in need of donation in order to get all of our aboveground features installed. You can help by donating to the spray park fund. We have many donor levels to choose from. No donation is too small or too large. For additional information or to donate to the spray park please contact Bill in the Recreation Department at 224-8944 ext. 227. Up Coming Events: • Summer Camps and Swim Lessons Begin June 15th. • Walking in Our Community Walk on July 11th from 9-10 a.m. at the St. Johns Train Depot. • National Night Out on August 4 from 6-8pm located on the corner of Sturgis and Business 27.
