Please note
Remember that only the amount you pay over the value is eligible for
tax deductions. We encourage you to bid generously with the
reminder that all funds raised at the auction benefit St. Finbar Parish
School.
What can you deduct?
Auction purchases generally are eligible for tax deductibility only to the
extent that the amount paid for the item exceeds the fair market value for
that item (subject to buyers individual tax circumstances). Values are listed
in the catalog with every item. These values are arrived upon by the
donors estimate. Internal Revenue Service requires auctions to provide
receipts to purchasers listing the fair market value of each item to
taxpayers who make contributions in excess of $75. You will be provided
with an appropriate receipt that will list both the fair market value (value) of
each item purchased and the amount paid for each item. Please save this
receipt for your records in order to substantiate any income tax deduction
you may take as a result of your Auction purchases. The donors have
done their best to make a good faith estimate of the value of each item in
the Auction. Should you have any further questions about fair market
values please contact the Silent Auction Committee. We encourage you to
consult your tax advisor for additional information.

GENERAL
1. All sales are final. No changes or refunds on items are permitted.
2. All items are sold "as is."
3. Items must be paid in full before the buyer’s departure with item.
Acceptable payments can be made by check, cash, Visa, MasterCard,
Discover or American Express.
4. All items must be claimed by May 10, 2013 unless other arrangements are
made explicitly with the Auction co-chairs.
5. All items and services must be used within the dates listed on item. If an
item has no expiration date it will expire on May 5, 2014. Specific dates

have been proud to bring the St. Finbar & surrounding

BIDDING RULES
GENERAL
1. All auction items and services are subject to the "Conditions of Sale"
listed on page 20.
SILENT AUCTION
2. Each item has a corresponding bid sheet that contains a description,
value, minimum bid, and minimum bid increase.
3. A bidder must legibly print his or her name and phone number on the
next available blank line. To be valid, a bid must be made in the
designated increment.
4. The Silent Auction tables will be closed to written bids, in an order
determined by the Auction co-chairs, beginning at approximately 7 pm
on Sunday night.
5. The Auction Committee reserves the right to conduct an on-the-spot
Mini Live Auction for any item which is being actively contended by silent
bids.
6. In the event of any dispute, the Auction co-chairs will have the sole
discretion to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer or re-sell the
item in dispute.
