Learn to knit a “store-bought-looking sock” from
the toe up. This class will teach the basics of the
toe up cast on, heel turning, and ribbed cuff
construction. Beginning sock knitters will be
encouraged to use worsted weight yarn and size 5
needles in order to speed up the knitting and
allow for sock completion. Sock fit, gaps and
holes, and general sock construction challenges
will be discussed. If your sock knitting is not as
good as you would like it to be, this is the class
for you.

The Quilt Tree cannot guarantee we will have
specialty items the night of a particular class.
We do try to order enough for everyone in a
class. However, sometimes items do sell out
prior to your class. Please review your class
supply list and bring all the requested items,
plus basic sewing items for quilting classes.
Quilting Supplies: Sharp rotary cutter, mat
and ruler.
General Supplies: Seam ripper, straight pins,
and scissors for thread cutting.
Sewing Machine: In good working order.
Remember the foot pedal and power cord. Extra
machine needles and bobbins.

CLASS POLICIES
You must pay for the class when you register. Phone reservations are accepted with a
credit card. The supply list is provided when you pay the class fee. We can mail or fax the
supply list.
Class fees are not refundable unless we cancel a class. If you are unable to attend a class,
you may contact us to see if there is someone on the waiting list to buy your spot, or you
may send a friend in your place. If a class is canceled, we will refund your class fee.
Out of consideration for the instructor and the other students, children, pets and nonpaying guests are not allowed at classes.
