Viking Strength & Conditioning Camp
Who: Where: Students entering 9th, 10th, 11th and 12th grades – Next fall (2015-­‐2016) Lago Vista High School – Track and Weight Room Why: Over the past several years, we have trained numerous All-­‐State and All-­‐District performers. The strength and conditioning program has been developed as a guide to lead you to become bigger, faster, and stronger. An emphasis will be made on enhancing your ability to perform during competition. This course will help you achieve your dreams and goals. The program will improve you as an athlete and a person. However, the most important ingredient will be you! If you stay committed, the program will work. Each aspect of our training is taught and supervised by our staff. Campers will be grouped according to age, size and ability. Workouts will be geared toward each camper’s strength and speed, with specific instruction on his or her individual development. Special sessions on drug and alcohol abuse prevention and academic performance will be taught. When: Monday-­‐Thursday, June 8-­‐July 16, 2015 7:30am-­‐9:30am How Much: First camper: $100 Family Special: Full price for first camper, $50 for siblings JR. Viking Strength & Conditioning Camp

Viking Boys Basketball Camp
Who: Students entering 4th, 5th and 6th grades Next fall (2015-­‐2016) 12:00pm-­‐1:30pm OR Students entering 7th, 8th and 9th grades Next fall (2015-­‐2016) 2:00pm-­‐4:00pm Where: Lago Vista High School Gymnasium When: Monday-­‐Thursday June 15-­‐18, 2015 Why: Game Instruction Ÿ Skill Development Ÿ Skill Competitions Ÿ Awards The focus is to teach the basic individual fundamentals of basketball, while allowing the camper the opportunity to apply the learned skills in drills, contests and games. Players will be instructed on all positions. Campers will be grouped according to age, size, and/or ability. Special instruction on health and fitness as well as the value of positive attitude, respect and discipline. Shooting skills provide the camper with the necessary tools to correctly shoot a basketball. Campers will be instructed on specific details of the shooting motion that includes proper set up, body position and release point. Viking Baseball Camp
Who: Where: Students entering 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grade Next fall (2015-­‐2016) Lago Vista High School Baseball Field and Batting Cages Why: The Focus of the camp is to teach the basic fundamentals of hitting, base-­‐running, fielding, and throwing in a Viking Baseball Practice format to let players see how high school practices are organized and managed while getting baseball instruction. The camper will have the opportunity to apply the skills he learns through various contests and games. Each camper will be grouped with players of equal ability in order to promote safety and confidence. Campers need to bring a glove and are encouraged to have cleats and a hat. Bringing your own bat or other playing gear is strongly encouraged. Athletic supporter & protective cup not required but highly recommended. Don’t forget water, water, water, and sunscreen! Who: Students entering 7th, 8th and 9th grades – Next fall (2015-­‐2016) When: Monday-­‐Thursday July 27-­‐30, 2015 9:00am-­‐12:00pm Jr. Viking Football Camp
Who: Where: Students entering 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades – Next fall (2015-­‐2016) Why: The coaching staff of Lago Vista High School will instruct this camp with emphasis on sound fundamentals and proper techniques of playing football. Campers will be grouped according to age, size and ability. Skills and competition will be based on each camper’s level of experience. Experienced players will be taught specific techniques to enhance their skill level for next fall. Inexperienced players will learn basic football fundamentals geared toward their own level. Each camper will have the opportunity to participate in numerous individual drills and team-­‐oriented drills. In camp, players receive instruction in all aspects of football, including: passing, rushing, receiving, line play, blocking, and pass and run defense. Fundamentals and techniques of each position are taught and practiced on a daily basis. The knowledge and ability gained from this camp will help the athlete become a complete football player. Each position is taught and supervised by our staff. Campers will receive instruction in one or more positions. They include QB, RB, WR, and OL on offense and DB, LB, DE, and DL on defense. Special sessions on drug and alcohol abuse prevention and academic performance will be taught. Water will be provided, but campers should bring their own water bottles.
