When we look back on the summers of the past our memories
are filled with idyllic images of lazy hazy summer days, where
life was blissfully carefree and the mere notion of worrying
about the stresses and strains of everyday life was simply
inconceivable. A time so perfect we often wonder if perhaps
it was all a daydream?
It was these fond memories and the nostalgia they awaken
within us that inspired the new collection. Nuances and
hints of yesteryear are apparent throughout as snippets of
heavenly days at the beach, fantastically fun family picnics,
gloriously laid back camping trips, whimsical fun fairs and
multi-coloured merry go rounds are all interwoven through
different elements of the collection.
Inspired by the shimmering hues of golden sunshine and all
the lustrous highlights of summer holidays, the palette for the
collection encompasses cool sea blues, fresh citrus tones,
jubilant reds, charming coral, nautical navy and white, refined
shades of grey, as well as some classic earthy greens and
browns. Poignant and reminiscent, the new collection evokes
a sense of simplicity, romance and innocence with a healthy
dash of youthful exuberance... truly invigorating, wholesome
and beautiful.
We had our shoot in Wicklow, the ‘Garden of Ireland’ and
it was simply magnificent. Jimi’s place at Hunting Brook in
Blessington is an oasis of tranquillity, from the flourishing
wilderness of the woodland to the breathtaking expanse of
exotic colour blossoming in the gardens... truly magical. We
stayed at the beautifully restored Coolattin Lodge, where Noel
and Dee made us feel so at home during the stay that we even
did some shots in their gorgeous kitchen. And the folks at
Calliaghstown Equestrian Centre and Avon Rí facilitated us
endlessly with colourful canoes and exceptional horses... We
thoroughly enjoyed the shoot and want to sincerely thank
everyone involved for making it such a success.
