Technical regulations 2015 – Micro Max
MICRO MAX
Each chassis has to be according the CIK FIA prescriptions. Each
race it is allowed to subscribe 1 chassis.

On each chassis and each engine which will be used for the race
(including the qualifying and finales) an identification number need
to be tapped in. The driver needs to fill in the numbers of the engines
and the chassis on the technical fiche. During the race all drivers
can only use the engine and the chassis which have been filled in on
the technical fiche! Wrong filled in numbers and/or using double
numbers and racing with material which was not filled in on the
paper will be considered as fraud and will be punished with a
disqualification for the concerned heat/final.

Not a single matter can stick out of the rim (example: rear axle, fuse,
…) And there may nothing be added between the tyre and the rim.

Not allowed
Slick race tyres must be ordered on advance at the organisation by
use of a voucher (see sporting regulations).
One set of tyres is allowed each meeting.
In case of problems you always need to contact to the technical
commission.
It is not allowed to modify the tyres. The brand name, code number,
barcode and the indications always need to be visible on the tyres.

After each part of the race the tyres must stay in parc Fermé.
The rear bumper must be homologated and cover at least 2/3 of the
rear wheels. You always need to mount the rear bumper.
Only a micro max front bumper is allowed.
Chassis protection is allowed on the kart but it may not be magnetic.
It is the responsibility of the driver that the protection is attached
properly with at least 2 M6 bolts.
The fuel tank must be fitted properly at the appropriate place. All
vents must culminate in a reservoir.
Only unleaded fuel with oil is allowed. Driving with another fuel have
immediate disqualification for the whole race as result.
A week before each race, the organizer will appoint a petrol station
where all drivers must get their fuel. This prescribed fuel has to be
used in the qualifying and the finals. During any part of the event the
fuel can be controlled and even changed with fuel of the
organization. If we change the fuel, you will get 95 octane fuel that is
mixed in advance with 2% Denicol Syn 100.
Minimum of 108 kg with the driver and the full race gear.

11. Engine
12. Carburettor
Drivers who are lighter than required shall attach extra weight on
their kart, until they reach the prescribed weight. Lead may only be
installed on the chassis or on the chair.
Minimum M6 bolts, and minimum 2 bolts, need to be used to mount
the lead. The addition weight shall be mounted that everyone’s
security is guaranteed at all times.
All drivers are obliged to drive with an EVO engine of the
organisation. The engine is sealed and given to all the drivers after
the lottery.
The carburettor is sealed and delivered together with
the engine. It is forbidden to cut or disconnect the seal.
The regulation of the airscrew is free.
13. Air filter
14. Radiator
It is not allowed to change the carburettor with another
carburettor. You always need to keep the carburettor
together with the engine.
The driver needs to provide his own air filter. Only the new air filter
component is allowed (ref. 225053).
a) The original delivered radiator cannot
be changed with another radiator. The
delivered radiator must stay with the
engine at any time! In case of problems,
you need to contact the TC.

No additional non-original-coolingdevice is allowed. A plate applied on
the radiator is the only allowed air flow
control. The plate may not be removed
from the radiator during operation on the track. All other
means of air flow control through the radiator are prohibited
(except of the original plastic flap for version 3). Tape is not
allowed. Removal of the original flap is an acceptable
configuration.
Only the Nippon Denso Iridium spark plug IW 27 is allowed. The
measurements have to be identical to the original delivered spark
plugs. The ring has to be mounted.
Each driver must mount the right start numbers, colour of the number
plate and the name on the kart.
The Micro Max has a red sign with white figures. The available
numbers are available on the website and go from 002 till 199. The
number that you choose for the first race will be your number along
the entire season.
The numbers must be clearly visible on the two sides, rear and front
spoiler. The drivers name must be mounted on the two sides.

Only the winner of last season, has the right to take number 1.
The gear ratio is 14/72.
When you get a rented engine, it will be complete with a spool,
exhaust, carburettor and a radiator. It is not allowed to change the
spool!
Every driver will get his exhaust on Saturday morning. Since every
exhaust is connected with an engine there is no other lottery for the
exhaust.
a) The specific "Micro MAX" exhaust system must be used instead
of the original exhaust system (see illustration below).

b) No exhaust leakage allowed (no signs of oil).
c) Usage of 4 attachment springs is mandatory (exhaust pipe
to exhaust flange).
d) No modification, damage or distortion of exhaust pipe and
exhaust socket is permitted.
a) The exhaust restrictor (ROTAX part no. 273 972) must be used
instead of the original exhaust socket (fitted to the cylinder).
b) The exhaust restrictor must show an inner-diameter not
bigger than 22,0 +0,20 mm.
Drivers may use a camera if it mounted on an appropriate way and
accepted by the Technical Commission. It is the responsibility of
each driver to go to the Technical Commission.
The footage of the camera can be accepted by the Sport
Commission as evidence. But the sport commission is not obliged to
accept all footage.
22. Equipment

Helmet cameras are not allowed.
A driver must be equipped and appear for inspection with the
following gear:
Complete equipment must comply with the CIK regulations
A turbo visor is allowed in case of rain
Good gloves which cover the entire hand
High shoes that cover and protect the ankles.
The responsible doctor on the event may, for safety reasons,
disapprove certain types of breast, neck or rib protections.
A neck- and rib protection is required in the Micro Max
From the moment when the driver goes on track, he or she must
wear the mandatory clothes as described in this article.
Each driver needs to take care of the engine and use it as it should
be. During the lottery the organization provides good working
engines. In case of damage or problems with the engine, the driver
will be responsible for the costs. The engine needs be given back
after the event in the same condition as the driver received it. All
supplied parts need to be given back and it is forbidden to swap
parts.
If the organization has a suspect that the engine is not threaten as it
should be, then they have the possibility to exclude a driver from the
event or the championship.
