The Town of Estes Park currently has an opening for a full-time Civil Engineer II in its Public Works department.
This position will focus on duties associated with the pavement management program. It will manage
approximately $1.25 million annually for road repair and renovation projects and $250,000 annually for the
construction and expansion of public trails. The position will develop a cost-effective pavement management
program for the Town’s roadway system that utilizes a pavement condition index database to guide selection of
pavement rehabilitation strategies and generate projects to complete a 10-year street improvement program.
Duties include oversight of the inventory collection of pavement distress data, sidewalk condition, and drainage
condition information for each street. Ability to manage budgets, schedules, pay applications, bid document
administration, and other project management skills is preferred. Ability to implement Lucity Streets & Traffic
software to incorporate the street inventory condition data into the Town’s Geographic Information System is
desirable. Minimum education is a Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field. A minimum of five
years work experience in pavement management is required. An equivalent combination of relevant education
and work experience may be considered in lieu of the educational requirement.

The salary range for this position is $2,391 - $3,467 biweekly pay period depending on qualifications and
