Activity Ideas for Kids
1. Keep a list of easy activities: build a fort, playdough,
Legos, sidewalk chalk, bubbles, a new DVD.
2. Do crafts – bring out markers, glitter, glue,
recyclables, odds and ends – and they create.
3. Cook together. Try new foods and old favorites.
Share meals with friends.
4. Organize homemade obstacle courses (inside or
out) under the table, behind the couch, around the
chairs…
5. Folding tables or sturdy flat surfaces make great
places for Jigsaw puzzles or model sets.
6. Halloween costumes, not just for October! Kids can
dress up and imagine all kinds of amazing things…
skits, dances, plays of their favorite stories.
7. Record these creative productions with your
smartphone – kids can do that for HOURS!
8. Pick an animal of the day to study (This can be just as
fun for the adults).
9. Redecorate a child’s room and let the kids paint a
mural on the wall.
10. Make Vlogs…for kids who love to read and watch
movies.
11. Make bird feeders, windsocks or kites.
