Open and Free to all Graduate and Professional Students Super Bowl Mixer and Trivia Night Recap We had over 300 individuals register to attend the Super Bowl Mixer and Trivia Night on February 1 st at Harpers. Of those registered, approximately 150 braved the snowstorm to join us for the event. Thank you all for joining us for this successful event! Save the Date: Diversity, Inclusion & Sensitivity Workshop When: Saturday, March 28th Time: 9am - 2:00pm Where: International Center, Room 115 The Council of Graduate Students will be hosting a 1 day workshop to provide awareness and training on the topics of diversity, inclusion and sensitivity from varying perspectives such as: Culture, Class, Race, Gender, Sexual Assault, Relationship Violence, LGBT, and Communication (linguistic barriers). This will aid in fostering a campus environment that’s more inclusive and supportive of Graduate and Professional Students from all walks of life. Preregistration will be required. In 1993, The National Association of Graduate-Professional Students (NAGPS) established GraduateProfessional Student Appreciation Week (GPSAW) as a means of recognizing the work of America’s graduate and professional students. Specifically, GraduateProfessional Student Appreciation Week seeks to highlight and celebrate the contributions, impact and value of graduate and professional students on campuses throughout the United States. GPSAW is celebrated during the first week of April each year. The Council of Graduate Students is currently working hard on planning GPSAW 2015. Look for our March Newsletter coming out at the end of March with a complete list of activities and coupon giveaway days.
