COIL DEFENDER has formulated a range of unique products to assist with looking after the heat
exchange surfaces and metal component surfaces of air conditioning systems.
About
COIL DEFENDER DTM is the first direct to metal water based corrosion protection coating,
made in Australia, specifically designed for application on the heat exchange surfaces and
metal components surfaces of air conditioning systems. It needs only a clean and dry surface
prior to application to give superior corrosion protection from even the harshest of Australian
environments. A simple quick application of this coating will extend the life of your air
conditioning system and will improve the efficiency and energy consumption.
The COIL DEFENDER DTM comes in an aerosol for quick and easy application on small heat
exchangers and in larger tins quantities for spray gun application, using compressed air, on large
heat exchange infrastructure.
The Direct to Metal (DTM) coating contains additives which when applied give the coated surface
a SUPER Hydrophobic finish. This means the coils repels water and airborne dirt making them
easier to clean and maintain.
COIL DEFENDER DTM also contains Silver ions which significantly reduces the growth of mould
and bacteria on the coated metal surfaces. This coating will improve the overall indoor air quality
of a room and will significantly reduce the incidence of “damp sock syndrome” .
Cleaners
COIL DEFENDER is also introducing a range of practical non-corrosive cleaners specifically for the pre-cleaning of heat exchanger
coils before coating. The concentrated enzyme cleaner will dissolve all grease, slime and bio-fouling from the coils without destroying
the heat exchanger surfaces. The Passivated cleaner has been formulated not to react with copper and aluminum surfaces while
providing a strong degreasing and dirt removing action.

COIL DEFENDER Enzyme Cleaner
Enzyme Cleaner is enzyme based and targets all domestic, commercial and industrial air handling installations. The
product is designed for application to cooling and heating coils “in situ” as part of mechanical plant maintenance. The
cleaner strips away any existing bacteria, fungi and other contaminants. The product is non-corrosive and completely
biodegradable.
Enzyme Cleaner comes in a highly concentrated form and is mixed with water on the job site. This provides an aggressive quick method of cleaning the slim and biofilm from contaminated surfaces in the Air Conditioning Unit.
COIL DEFENDER Passivated Cleaner
Passivated cleaner is a highly effective detergent designed to remove dirt, oil and contamination from heat exchanger
surfaces, without damaging or reacting with the metal surfaces.
COIL DEFENDER Pan Tablet
The drain pan of air conditioning units can be the dirtiest component in the entire unit. It is wet, dark and easily
contaminated with slim and mould.
This unique tablet is a blend of enzymes that naturally break down the bacteria and mould allowing it to easily be flushed
down the drain. The concentrated enzymes are non toxic and environmentally friendly.
