Rows 1–3: Knit.
Row 4: Purl.
Rows 5–9: Knit.
Row 10: Purl.
Repeat Rows 5–10 until piece measures
about 56” (142 cm) from beginning, end with
a purl row.
Next 2 Rows: Knit.
Bind off as if to knit.
FINISHING
Weave in ends.

Ties (for top knot)
K7, place remaining 7 sts on a holder.
Work in Stockinette st over the 7 sts remaining
on needle for about 5” (12.5 cm). Bind off.
Return the 7 sts from holder to needle and

GAUGE: 10 sts = 4” (10 cm); 10
rows = 4” (10 cm) in Stockinette

Sew side edges of piece together for back
seam, leaving ties free. Weave in ends.
