WHY:
Digital Lee was established to create a more relevant, community, and
career focused learning experience for the District’s technology students. The goal is to
provide exposure for students’ work, thereby spurring career and internship opportunities,
scholarship awards and local involvement that will continue to make Southwest Florida a
thriving and culturally rich community. The best of the District’s Graphic Design,
Animation, Video Game Development, and Web Design programs will be highlighted.
The event, which is free, is an exhibition of students’ digital artwork, as well as a
competition to earn recognition for their creativity and technology skills. Professionals
from the local design industry will review and judge the submissions so students may earn
donated prizes that range from digital cameras to a MacBook Pro for the Best of Show
Winner.
HIGHLIGHTS:
 Free to the public, and appropriate for all ages.
 Highlights: Animation, Game Design, Web Design, Graphic Design, Photography, and
Publication Programs
 Submissions from Middle, High, and Post-Secondary School students.
 Presented by the School District of Lee County’s Career & Technical Education
Department.
 The public will vote for the People’s Choice Award during the Digital Lee Opening
Night.
