Wishin’ I was Fishin’
Bruce Hietpas
Presents
"Let's Catch a BIG one and make Bruce a Happy Camper"
Bruce Hietpas is a 54-year-old, husband of Janet and father of Paul and Marc, who resides in Little Chute.
He is a friendly, good-natured, and warm-hearted man who is always willing to lend a hand to others in a
time of need. Bruce enjoys camping, hiking, fishing, walking the dog, listening to music, but most of all, he
enjoys taking a ride on his motorcycle.
On September 16 at 5:30 a.m., Bruce was heading to work on Wisconsin Ave/Hwy 96 near the 441 overpass
on his motorcycle when a deer ran out in front of him. Needless to say, the deer and Bruce collided, which
threw Bruce from his bike and caused him to slide over 90 feet across the pavement where he was found
unconscious. To this day, he has no recollection of the accident, but realizes he was blessed with a second
chance in life. Due to his severe head injuries, double vision, and numerous wounds, Bruce was unable to
work for four months. He spent several days in ICU, then once released, his time was consumed visiting
doctors, specialists, and going through intensive therapy.
Please consider supporting a ‘Celebration of Support’ for Bruce and Janet Hietpas. The money raised from
this event will help with the substantial medical expenses incurred as well as everyday living expenditures
