• At least 220 UCAS tariff points from A levels
• OR Foundation Diploma in Art & Design (Level 3 or 4)
• OR Extended Diploma/National Diploma (Level 3)
• OR Access to HE Diploma (in relevant subject)
• Other relevant and equivalent UK and international
qualifications equivalent to 220 tariff points at NQF
level 3 are considered on an individual basis

has been designed to provide you with an
opportunity to discover further information about
the course, campus and student experience.

What will happen at your Applicant Day?
Arriving on the day:
When you arrive on the day you should report to the Main Gallery Reception.
Format of the day:
Interviews will be conducted with individuals by a member of the course team.
It is anticipated that the Applicant Day will last approximately 3 hours.
Please allow enough time to participate in the activities of the day and meet our student ambassadors,
who are available to answer any questions you may have about life at UCA.

The interview will focus on your ideas and concepts and how they might apply to the Games Arts
Course. We are interested in you and your ideas, as well as your drawing and creative art skills. We value

About the course
BA (Hons) Computer Games Arts will provide you
with a broad range of skills and expertise in games
art and interactive entertainment development. You
will develop advanced skills in both digital 2D and
digital 3D content creation using industry standard
software.
The course encourages your individual creativity and
gives you the skills required to develop your ideas
into tangible work. You will graduate with a solid
computer games arts portfolio, having completed a
finalmajorprojectwhichdemonstratesyourgames
content creation skills, working individually or in a
teamproject.
The course is uniquely place near Guildford, the
largest hub of video game companies in the UK
and widely regarded as the centre of the gaming
industry. We have strong links with a number of
thesecompanies,suchasLionhead,Supermassive
and Born Ready, who help shape the course
curriculum and provide visiting lecturers and artists.
Employability: This course prepares you for work
in Games and Interactive Entertainment companies
and students have gone on to work for companies
suchasSupermassiveGames,CreativeAssembly,
Microsoft and Endemol.
A number of graduates have also formed their own
indie development companies, successfully creating
gamesforiOSandAndroidplatforms.

town centre and provides purpose-built facilities with
specialist workshops for textiles, ceramics, glass and

accommodation, an extensive University Library, art
shop, refectory and the James Hockey and Foyer

Travelling to UCA Farnham
By road:
From the M25, follow the A3 past Guildford, then
exit and take the sliproad onto the A31, signposted
toFarnhamandAlton.AttheShepherdandFlock
roundabout head straight on along the Farnham
bypass (A31) to the next roundabout.
From here, take the A325, which leads into West
Street,towardsthetowncentre.TurnleftintoThe
Hart. The main entrance to the University is at the
junctionwithFalknerRoad.Carparksaretothe
right.
Parking is available on campus, although spaces
cannot be guaranteed. There are pay and display
car parks nearby in Farnham town centre.
By rail:
Travel from London Waterloo to Farnham (via
Woking). It is 15 minutes’ walk from Farnham
station to the University.
WalkdownStationHill,crosstheA31andcontinue
downSouthStreet.TurnleftintoUnionRoad,which
bearsrightintoDowningStreet.Whenyoureach
WestStreet,turnleftandcontinuefor200metres
before turning right into The Hart. The University is
at the top of this street.
