STORYTIMES HAVE BEGUN
Turtle Time for children ages 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 accompanied by a caregiver – Mondays, 10:15 or 11:15 am
Toddler Storytime for ages 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 accompanied by a caregiver – Fridays, 10:15 or 11:15 am

Halloween Candy Holders
Celebrate Halloween at the
library by making candy holders
that look like a vampire, jack-olantern or any spooky creature
you can imagine! This fun
craft will take place on Monday,
October 22 at 4 pm for children
ages 6-10. Registration for this
program begins on October 1.
Parenting Series Continues….
In conjunction with the Smithfield School Dept. and the Smithfield Police Dept., the Libraries of
Smithfield have planned the next
program in the series of parenting
workshops that began last spring.
After School Art Class
Artist and teacher Adele Karbowski will offer monthly art
classes beginning Thursday,
October 18 at 4:00 pm. Children
ages 6-10 may register now. The
upcoming dates are November
15 and December 13. Registration for each month will be taken
beginning the first of the month.
Apple Blossom Garden Club
Junior gardeners ages 6-10 are
invited to register for this floral workshop presented by the
members of the Apple Blossom
Garden Club on Thursday, October 25 at 4 pm. Registration will
begin October 9. Children will
create a fall arrangement.
Book Buddies Are Back!!
If your child enjoyed reading
with a teen buddy this summer,
or, if you missed the opportunity,
here is your chance to experience
this program. Teen volunteers
will be on hand to read with children in grades K-3 on Saturday,
October 20 from 2:30-3:30 pm.

Children’s Halloween Party
Save the date for a drop in
Children’s Halloween Party from
3:30-5:30 on Monday, October
29. There will be games, stories,
crafts and face painting for all
ages. Greenville Young Adults
will be busy planning and designing all month. Children may
wear their costumes for this fun
event.
Children’s Bubble
October is National Orthodontic Awareness Month, and the
Children’s Room Bubble will
display a collection of orthodontic materials to celebrate.
This orthodontic display is
provided by University Orthodontics. So open wide and
come take a look inside the

Nancy Bleyer ,Reiki Master, Teacher and Full Spectrum Energy Medicine Practitioner will present an interactive talk
for the Smithfield Parenting Series. Full Spectrum Energy Practitioners help their clients become aware of ways to bring
balance to the emotional, physical, mental, and spiritual aspects of their lives. This program will be presented at the East
