Call for Abstracts UVIC’s inaugural Social Dimensions of Health conference entitled “Connecting the Conversations: an Interdisciplinary Approach to the Social Dimensions of Health” taking place on April 23rd, 2015 is calling for abstracts from a broad spectrum of health research. Topics may include, but are not limited to: health literacy, life course studies, community health, primary care, arts based practices, economy and environment, poverty, climate change, policy and practice. The conference will feature two interactive case study panel sessions exploring the emerging field of Social Dimensions of Health and the interdisciplinary nature of health research teams. In addition to the panel sessions, we will be showcasing ‘Rapid Fire’ Oral Presentations (1 slide, 3 minutes) as an innovative and sharp style of knowledge mobilization. If we have successfully intrigued you with the opportunity to present at our event, please email your abstract to [email protected] by March 27th, 2015. The abstract should be 250 words (excluding the title) with the following headings: background, methods, results, conclusions, and implications.
