Saturday, June 27 from 4:30pm – 5:30pm
Moscone Convention Center, 122(N)
University Presses play an essential role in STEM publishing and account for some of the world’s oldest scholarly publishing
operations. While often thought of primarily as book publishers, many have long and well-established reputations in journal
publishing as well. Please join us for a discussion of the future challenges and opportunities facing University Presses within the
digital publishing environment. Scott Warren from Syracuse University Libraries will moderate panelists from the University of
California Press, University of Chicago Press, and Oxford University Press.
ACRL STS: College Science Librarians Discussion Group
Instructional Technology: How’s That Working for You?
Saturday, June 27 from 10:30am – 11:30am
Hilton San Francisco Union Square, Golden Gate 1
Many smaller academic libraries cannot afford commercial instructional technology (SMART Boards, clickers, LibGuides, etc.). Has
your library found functional alternatives? Perhaps your library has found ways to employ commercial products for more than one
purpose?
Please come and share your experiences with all aspects of instructional technology, though particular focus will be on open
source/free technologies. We’ll discuss our successes and challenges with instructional technology!
