It is forbidden to carry out any modification whatsoever on equipment.
Only use original parts.
Safety Precautions
The operator should be fully aware of the contents of this manual.
This manual must be available to the operator at all times.
Furthermore, operate this shear in a safe working environment.
Mounting on Carrier
The operator must comply with the “Instructions for use” contained in this manual, as well as
those concerning the carrier, such as carrier weight, pressure, flow and connections.
Before any operation is carried out on the equipment, ensure that the residual pressures are
released and cooling in the hydraulic circuit and mechanical parts has been completed to
avoid loss of any oil.
Ensure that all hydraulic components conform with standards in force.
Use
The operating zone must be made secure and well-lit.
If the carrier is operating in an area where there is a risk of falling objects, the cabin should be
equipped with an approved fall over protection system (FOPS).
Before starting work the operator must inquire about the presence of electric cables, gas or
water pipelines, and any other possible source of danger in the operating zone.
If the carrier has no cabin, it is highly recommended to provide a protective grid at the front of
the carrier and reduce emission of dust (water spray).

Assembly and Disassembly
!
CAUTION
While being assembled, place the attachment on the ground and park the
excavator in the service position, according to the instructions in the
carrier operational manual.
If our attachment is supplied without a bracket cap, it is up to the client to
fit it with a suitable cap complying with current safety standards.
Assembly
The bracket cap provided in our attachment is equivalent to that supplied for a standard bucket
of the carrier on which this attachment is mounted. For a detailed explanation on mechanical
connection please refer to the instruction handbook of the carrier in question.
The hydraulic system shall be connected by linking the two hydraulic fittings for each circuit
(rotation, shear), on the equipment to the corresponding fittings on the carrier.
!
CAUTION
Verify that the couplers for each circuit of the attachment are connected
to the proper excavator circuit. Direction of excavator hydraulic circuit
flow does not matter.

Rotation Gearbox Maintenance
The oil should be changed for the first time after 100 operating hours and afterwards every
2500 hours or at least every 12 months. These periods may be varied to suit individual cases
according to the actual operation conditions. When the oil is changed, we recommend that the
inside of the casing is also flushed with a suitable liquid recommended by the lubricant
manufacturer. To avoid leaving a sludge deposit, the oil should be changed when the
reduction motor is hot. We recommend that the oil level is checked at least monthly. If more
than 10% of the oil needs to be added, thoroughly check that the unit is not losing oil. Avoid
mixing different types of oil. This includes oils both of the same and different makes. Avoid
mixing mineral and synthetic oils.
DRAINING THE OIL:
Position the attachment in an horizontal position.
Place a container under the drain plug.
Unscrew the drain plug and drain all the oil. Be careful the oil could be hot.
To assist drainage, perform the operation with the gear motor still hot.
Screw the drain plug back on.
