Innovations since 1996
Swiss from the ground up. 1996 – The six biggest Swiss electrical firms found diAx. At the
same time, Newtelco AG is founded by SBB, UBS and Migros. One year later, British Telecom and
Tele Danmark come on board as investors and launch the sunrise brand. The merger of sunrise and
diAX leads to the establishment of Sunrise Communications AG. In 2010, CVC Capital Partners
takes over ownership. Sunrise Communications Group AG has been listed on the SIX Swiss Exchange
since its flotation on February 6, 2015.
