mark your calendars for Chalk Walk: 10am–5pm, Saturday, August 29, 2015
Chalk Walk is an exciting event designed to celebrate the creativity
of artists and promote the importance of public art. The sidewalks
of downtown York will become an artist’s canvas and a place for
audiences to watch works of art being created right before their
eyes. All artists are encouraged to participate. Money raised from
the event is used to benefit youth art programs.
Completed chalk murals are judged in two age-based categories:
Adult and High School. A “People’s Choice” award is also given to
the artist who receives the most votes from audience members
and passersby. Artists are encouraged to participate as a group
or individually; however, only one prize will be awarded per
category. Registration is necessary to be eligible for prizes.
If you’re interested in participating in Chalk Walk or want more details, contact Mindy Christian at 717-848-3200 or email [email protected].
Thank you!
