CAMPUS RECREATION Dear Applicant, Thank you for your interest in Campus Recreation’s Summer Recreational Day Camps program. We have an exciting summer planned for Husker Kids and Husker Adventures and are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic summer staff to make it a success. We have many positions to fill for this summer, so please review the attached application and indicate which of the listed positions you would be most interested. The application deadline is Friday, April 3, 2015, after which the initial review will begin. All applications should be returned to the Campus Rec Center, Fleming Field Annex Building or submitted via the electronic submittal form. We will begin contacting selected applicants Monday, April 6, to arrange for an interview, which take place April 7 – April 13. Potential training dates are May 19-21 and May 26-28. Camp dates are from Monday, June 1 to Friday, August 7. Your availability during these dates is expected if you wish to be a part of our staff. Serve as camp administrator in coordinators’ absence. Supervise staff at all activity sites. Plan and implement activities promoting recreation and lifelong skills. Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all staff and participants. Assist camp coordinators in programming for age group. Serve as liaison between group and camp administrative staff. Lead facilitator for activities. Other duties as assigned. Counselors - $8.15/hr * Employment from May 19 - August 7, Mondays – Fridays excluding the week of June 29 – July 3 Twelve - Sixteen positions available ≈ 8:30 am – 4:30 pm Supervise and participate with the campers at all of the activity sites. Conduct activities that are scheduled in a safe and supportive environment. Communicate campers’ needs with Lead counselor. Complete designated duties as assigned. Non-Structured Program Staff - $8.15/hr * Employment from May 19 - August 7, Mondays – Fridays excluding the week of June 29 – July 3 Seven - Eight positions available ≈ 7:00 am – 9:00 am & 3:45 pm – 5:45 pm Supervise the arrival and departure of the participants. Act as a liaison between parents and the summer camp staff. Interact with children in low-action games and activities. Set-up and take down program area. Other duties as assigned. This position may be selected as Before/After or both.
